marlin, I’m all for excellence. But there are lots of different trading and charting styles, and considering this is a free site, take what you can use and leave the rest. For as long as I’ve been here, the Fly does what he pleases.
Anyway, my question is, because it’s on the Internet and it’s free, do people expect to get something equivalent to or better than what they pay for? Serious question, as there is a disconnect there for me.

Right now there’s still a rosy glow from the red and green Christmas lights, lots of stuff being shipped, not as much as last year, but still lots of stuff. Good, right? No, because most of it is lower value stuff, gives me income to survive but not huge profits.
In a bad year, when will retail hit the fan? Late Jan through February. The Christmas glow will definitely be off, jobs have been lost, and the credit card bills have arrived. Boca, I am a big fan of the Fly and all the other tabs. The problem I have with Chart Addict is that he gives us stuff after the fact, and then says that his subscribers got the information before. The whole point of a tab is to get ideas and charts for future, not past, and it’s v much an anomaly within the site. Even free stuff has to have some value in order for one to keep visiting. If its a constant advertisement for a service, fine, but then it doesn’t belong as a tab at IBC but on his own site. As for the paid site, I’ll be a happy member for PPT when it comes out.

NY Times reports Most troubled homeowners whose mortgages were modified are again falling behind on payments, a top banking regulator said on Monday, raising questions about whether policy makers and lenders can successfully help them stay in their homes. Data from banks show that more than half of loans modified during the first three months of the year were delinquent by 30 days just six months after the terms of the loans were changed, John Dugan, the comptroller of the currency, said at a conference in Washington. After eight months, 58% were delinquent again. The rate at which borrowers fall behind payments again — called the re-default rate — appears to be much higher than what previous studies have found. sniper, sold the last of my DIG at 3:35 yesterday. DUG looked much better in the last 15 minutes. I didn’t pick any up, waiting to make sure there were no overnight surprises. Gramps, thanks. I am shorting energy this morning via a short on PCX. I am no chart reader, but my five day chart seems to show a channel between $6.60 and $7.45. My plan, unless I get KO’d right away (stop loss @ $8.00), is to add to my short position at both of those levels should they get broken, and to cover all at $5.50.
But, that is just wishful thinking. I’ll take it as it comes. Good luck.
