We’ve gone back to this comparison on several occasions, but for all those mourning the mounting losses of their beloved BABA, take a look at the following charts.
These are weekly charts. For the first month, the two stocks drifted slowly lower before ramping to new highs over the next 4-6 weeks. After that run, they slowly worked their way down to eventually take out their post IPO lows.
That breakdown for $TWTR was a solid week of lower prices. Panic selling, really. That selling effort marked a point of discouragement in $TWTR, which also marked the bottom.
At the very least, the correlation makes it an interesting watch over the next week or so.

Wasn’t the $BABA ipo the biggest ever by far? The street may let it fire bomb the plebs like $FB did, but seems unlikely. The Amazon and Ebay of China!! The game needs BABA to win until they have sold every last share to the plebs. It is only 8 months old.
$BABA has another lockup expiration 3 days after earnings .. perhaps there will be a low around that date
OA- sorry I missed your question AH, had to step away from computer and didn’t get the ? until I was watching the replay. I don’t want to chase $JJC here, would want a decent pullback to get in there. Looking at a spot for $SCCO in the meantime. Hoping for something that starts in $31, but should I count my blessings if low 32’s present themselves?

I think I have to buy $TWTR this morning. My policy is buy at $37 and sell at $49. I’ve done it twice already and I vowed if it came back down to $37 again I’d buy it …. potentially to keep this time. I also really don’t want to buy $TWTR here, which has traditionally been the case so my indicator is on!
