Natty has been oversold for awhile, inventory report was horrible…why does it bounce today?
Remember when we talked about this last week? I thought we gave a good overview to the why.
It only reached oversold last week, according to the indicator.
Your overview was great, but I was waiting until after today’s report for an entry point because in weeks prior to this these type of inventory numbers would send the price down. So, I understand how oversold levels signal a rise in price, just can’t believe it would take place after crappy inventory numbers. Most of all it’s just frustration in missing out.
Remember, the charts discount everything. They reflect news, fundamentals and psychology.

that founders, page and brinn, didn’t want to give up any of their voting control when issuing new stock, so they issued a new class with very little voting rights.

Volume has fallen off. Very subtly has made higher lows. Making lower highs. Not really a participant in this week’s action. And, options are cheap.
The location was slightly better earlier this week, but the location here is still manageable.

I’ve been this close to buying KORS for the past few months. Most analysts have turned bearish on it which makes me interested. Valuation is very compelling. It trades at 8.6 EV/EBITDA. Compare it to these:
DECK: 7.9
WWW: 13.92
VFC: 19.06
COH: 10.3
RL: 8.42
NKE: 17.0
Anything under 10 is generally pretty cheap.
UA: 41.1
NKE and RL made my watchlist for the upcoming week.
A june contract to catch a positive earnings and a move to the volume pocket at $75 would be nice. However, it’s either May5’s or Augusts right now. :-\
Long only a few shares of $GOOGL in retirement acct @ 535.
Sold the MOMO and FCAU today. FCAU is talking about delaying the Ferrari IPO til 2016. That’s enough reason to bail and try again later at a lower price.
Just holding TASR now and a good chunk of cash. Lots of big caps look cheap, like QCOM, CAT, BAC

OA: any bearish ideas you really like? I think we get a couple more days of weakness before a big rally into May. I’m in index puts and that may be the best bearish bet out there for the next few days. Maybe some VIX calls was my other idea.
I have VXX. All I liked was volatility. I don’t see too many easy shorts out there, especially being 300 Dow points behind the 8 ball.
That VXX should be up nicely. I eschewed the VIX calls for SPY and QQQ puts earlier today. I was lucky enough to get in at the higher end of the consolidation range we were at for hours.
One of the things I’ve noticed when days like this happen after an extended run is we get another day or two of weakness more often than not. I’ve been waiting for what seems like weeks for a day like this to get in short.
But like I said, I think we will rally after a few days of this. End of April is typically quite bullish.
The other thing I’ve noticed is Fridays have become down days, if not flush days this year. I need to go back and calculate the total market return on Fridays for this year. Buying puts on Thursdays seems like it would’ve paid huge.

I’ve been looking into this one a lot but I’m going to wait until the dust clears with this whole exit thing. Keep in mind that they could choose to favor the bond holders at the expense of the shareholders and just wipe out the equity. Remember that we had plenty of time to buy C after the stock cratered (same with BAC) and more info was known about our financial system staying intact.

This stock just looks like everyone gave up on it, but yet I see their stuff everywhere….including in my closet

target is $75. the 65’s would be about 625%, the 67.50’s would be 833%, and the 70’s would be 1000%.
i can’t decide, so i guess i’ll take the one in the middle.

Volatility is pretty low across the board.
was looking at FB weeklies. Only up 30% on a 2.4% move in the underlying seems low?
earnings the week, so implied volatility is high although expectations seem relatively muted considering I bought next weeks 86 calls.
Was hoping for a ramp in FB volatility into earnings.
