Last weeks commentary was pretty light. All I’ve really discussed in terms of the market has been that everything is coiling up for a move. Equities, metals, high yield, Yen, Volatility, etc. We haven’t broken these ranges yet, and I think we’ll see a little market upside this week before that happens.
I think its best to continue to view what stocks are getting the action and or volume on days like today. We’ve observed stocks like TWTR and YELP getting some upside love last week, today its the miners, P and more FEYE.
I took gains in FRO today and still have a finger on the trigger to book LULU. I bought shares of IG this morning and I like SPLK, TRUE, FDX and some biotech this week (CELG, SGEN, AMGN).

Still lovin’ small-cap biotech because it’s about the only thing working. ARIA, ARNA, CARA, NDRM are my top picks. TKAI is a sleeper pick.
OA, do you like GILD ? It’s my long term hold.
This is getting to be the closest I’ve been to going all in on the short side. My YEN and TLT longs are jamming.
This market is manic over EU QE and Greece. Headlines are screaming equities and the dollar are bloated, yet the TLT is at all time highs and safety instruments are ripping.
Whats stopping you from shorting if I might ask?
Not too late to jump on the AMZN short. Just ask Blue, the move is just starting.
GLD is needs to break 120 with authority IMO. It’s into some heavy o/h supply now though.
what’s more important? GLD or /GC_F? I don’t know the answer to this but I am betting the futures prices are much more important. And but the looks of those charts, 1222 was a huge overhang resistance and once we broke that, it’s jumped straight up today.

Just needed to get a boring morning to get out of my very profitable YELP calls this afternoon. Kid with Influenza, doctor’s offices, crappy meds and an hour navigating the great capitalist system to move kid’s meds from $80 to $10.
That $70 saved actually lost me err… $1.00 in premium for my contracts…that wasn’t a good trade at all. Wowsa.
Bought FEYE 33.5 puts here. Looking for it to retrace this week

the daily chart suggests that buying puts here is a mistake. 37 is top of the range
I have 35.5 as the top of the range – but I will concede that I may be a day early and news may drive this higher – however, I still think I got in at a good spot and this stock lately has been a victim of sell the news and profit taking (regardless of market direction), so I am looking to capitalize on that.
Almost hate to say it but can’t help noticing the least bad is IWM, IWC
Any thoughts on two I’ve had luck with during this chop – $H and $GNRC? Still have $GNRC shares from $42 and have been in and out of $H once for a win; looks like it’s holding up fairly well right now so I was contemplating another swing at it.
Short any “growth” names as close to 50ema backtest as possible. Anyone going long stocks on this market ain’t too bright. Warning signals everywhere.
