Despite being the typical slow holiday week trade, breadth is pretty good under the surface today. Crude went out stable at the pit close, even got bid up a tiny bit.
I think tomorrow we may get a rally in oil at the open, so watch GDP, BAS, NADL, and EOX tomorrow. I like these based solely on profile/overhead structure.
I also am watching for reversals in Z, MBLY, and with any luck, BABA starts moving tomorrow.

Z is one I’m considering just stowing away for the long term. Love the business model and potential leverage post TRLA. It’s really the only game in town as far as the future of real estate goes.
For me it’s just a matter of getting comfortable with valuation. The valuation on Z is still nutty. But if the growth continues then it could look cheap in a few years. I’d love to buy into a panic move lower.

Are your annoying-ass comments making anyone (including yourself) a better trader? Maybe you should focus on improving yourself and others instead of bringing down.
Frustrated by the composition of the homebuilder ETFs. Looks like a meaningful percentage of the holdings are in ancillary plays like Home Depot and Sherwin Williams. Doesn’t look like there is a clean play with the two liquid options (iShares and spdr).

Do you ever trade? This YELP story is a failure, complete. It was supposed to be in high 60s by year’s end, that was this fat pitch story. There is none. You celebrate that it is not down further. Pathetic.

He claimed to hold calls in YELP. After 4 days, he sold them for a 30% loss, proclaiming he was “kicked in the nuts” by the loss. Then, he went short YELP “with margin” and made it a point that this was his “best idea”. The post indicated that he shorted $100K worth of YELP @ 53.70-ish.
Terrible trading and terrible risk management. Reckless trading leads to losses every single time.

Great chart. I considered picking up a few August or Dec ’15 /CL contracts today but decided to wait and revisit in the new year. With E&P companies already making big cuts in 2015 CAPEX, it’s hard to imagine a scenario that would support sub-$60 crude in 2H 2015.

Couldn’t resist…nibbled on a few july contracts /CLN5. Also bought a September natty contract /NGU5 (yes, just one for kicks). Holding March contracts. all natty hedges now off….hoping natty gets back above 3 today so I can put some back on. Very exposed here, but I like my chances.
