What does this add up to, shock to the upside?
so close. you almost had it until your last two answers. the sentiment is still decidedly bullish. we’re at all time highs. The Dow just crossed 17k. The SP500 is in spitting distance of 2000. AAII sentiment survey still leans bullish. You don’t give yourself enough credit. The reason you’re frustrated, is because you have noticed the brakes are being pumped. Those high growth stocks and small cap stocks that were once doing so well for you have cooled off considerably. That’s your warning sign. Risk is off as you said. Markets are slowing down as they face upward resistance, yet sentiment is bullish as we trade at all time highs. What does that add up to? The rug being pulled out from under us, that’s what. It’s staring right at you.

position size to lose all, or you can salvage 2-4 days from expiry hopefully on an uptick. fwiw, TZOO reports tomorrow morning, so there’s a chance that will help move PCLN for better or worse. If you’re at pennies on the dollar may as well risk it all. I’m near 71% down with 2 days to go, but it was a little better than break even this morning.
I am all or nothing, I remember what AMZN did last Friday and I’ll take my chances.

Covered last 1/2 of YELP +7.8 and WDAY +10 from last week and sold CVS calls basically flat.
I’m still in the short social media camp but will wait for a pop to do it.
So what is the trigger in a market like this? Either way? Yellen didn’t cause a sell off (or Israel, or Ukraine) – does one stock just start moving and the others follow – either direction? Too much easy money right now to really affect liquidity, so the bias should be to the upside if there is something to start the reaction.

Got TSLA, NUGT, FAS, TNA, FSLR, SPWR, and MGM calls, and NFLX, PCLN, TSLA, and AMZN bargain basement puts.
I suggest you read through OA’s blog from about November of last year I believe into December….. it may have been earlier than that but there was a period of time when Jeff was on the money on the social media play but was a bit early. Ultimately we made tons of money by end of December but the time decay was difficult on a number of members who didn’t position size properly and/or tried to play both sides

I just got into Yelp @ $67.89. two week loss of > 17% was enough for me. way too beaten down of a stock. I’m also a Yelen contrarian in regards to her musings yesterday about what stocks are over-valued.

Fly is wrong regarding solar bailed at the exact wrong time
The correlation between the risk cycle chart pattern with SO many growth stocks + extremely low volitility means that money has moved to the sidelines or low risk stocks. It can’t be coincidental. As long as the economy doesn’t implode, those greedy hens will return to roost in the growth stocks, but at much lower valuations than they left in Feb-March. I’ll be waiting with long dated calls I’ve been nibbling ever since Yellen pulled her faux tech stock analyst card. Currently long P FUEL calls, will be playing IWM weeklies as volitility comes back in the next few weeks.

I’m bullish on social media stocks. Greenspan made comments in 1998 about stocks being overvalued Abd stocks went up for another 2-3 years before bubble burst.
I think the main tell is the speed of this so called selling this morning. It’s just too slow. Mr. Market looks like he wants to go higher.
PAY seems to be trading alright…less than 3% away from buy support if you’re looking for something a little less volatile but has promise. yes, i own it…easy trade to manage, although it was easier around 35.
