I’m trying hard not to be the degenerate gambler here, swinging cheap weekly options in front of these fast stock swings in a flat to down market, but I can’t help it. Easy money and easy to manage if you are in front of the screens all day, which I am.
The latest entries have been in SCTY and FB, and shares of CETV and GSAT.
I’m also considering investing in SUNE here, with a good sized position.
Got any weekly option ideas? My next pick might be BAC. What are you looking at?

I just wanted to take this opportunity to share my own personal 2014 story. I started with Jeff on January 2nd with $10,000 that I could afford to lose.
I started out trading $500-1000 positions, as if I had a $50K account. Things were peachy for about two weeks as my account soared to a value of about $15K. Then all kinds of hell rained down upon us. Slowly but surely my account was whittled down to a mere $300 as of 10 AM May 15th. It was death by a thousand cuts. At some point I had been limited to trades of just a couple hundred dollars, but even those wouldn’t work. I had resigned myself to going bust and coming back in a few months with a fresh bankroll (I make a decent salary).
So I said “what the hell, let’s put $50 on an AAPL yolo. I would then purchase AAPL 595 calls expiring the same day for $0.06 each. I bought 8 contracts with the stock trading at 586. I also bought an AAPL $600 call for about $140 with the stock at $590. I could see momentum building in the stock.
By 2:00 central the stock was 596 and IB forced liquidation for a 2,100% gain. By the end of the day my account was up to about $1,800.
Over the last 10 days my account has soared from $1,800 to about $5,500 as of today’s close. I’ve mostly been following Jeff’s trades and a few of my own. DDD produced some massive gains, as did a few yolos Jeff recommended last week.
So from literally a chip and a chair I’ve been able recover from sure disaster. I’ll keep in trading Jeff’s trades, but with smarter position sizing. Trust me, I’ve learned lessons trading with Jeff that will last a life time.
I’ll let y’all know when I go $300 to $1 million. 😉
Just a note, but that $600 AAPL call expired the next week.
Loving the BAC call. At just $0.06 you’ve the potential to hit a 1,000% gainer on just about 6-7% move.
