Hard to get much traction on the long side of things yesterday, with the Russell sagging against the trend in stocks intraday. Today, different story. It led the post-fed breakout.
As you know, off the lows, this is a great signal of risk on. This might give us a buyable dip tomorrow for a solid risk-on day. My upside target is still 4175 in the Nasdaq, before things pause.
At the top of my lists: FSLR, SUNE, CMC, X, MNST, PXD, TRLA

We have one more shot at EXK long here before DUST time. The day traders are making life miserable for the gold bugs (that are holding no matter what). We should see gold in the 1000’s this year; let’s see how low Ag goes.
I can’t tell if you mean to say…short ZSL or short silver with the vehicle of ZSL. opposite ideas, so whatever you do, hope it works out for you.

Miners via GDX not doing bad.
I thought they would get hammered for sure today but are down less than I would think (starting to diverge from price of gold itself).
They have been basing since early Dec. and I suspect a huge breakout mid to end of July (similar to early ’80s and early ’90s).

nice action in the markets, sold half sina +1.3 sold all jnug (premarket) -.8. The miners are causing me major headaches and usually that means I should get out but I’m going to hold EXK for little longer. Also watching crude for a bounce.
Chief, I was poking around ToS last night w/ OA’s custom indicator. Found it interesting that $SLV has put up multiple oversold signals, while $GLD has not. That’s given me a slight bit of leniency towards dumping my silver miner stock.. I *do* have a line in the sand, though…
thanks unclebuccs. I’m always wary over oversold signals on gold, silver, oil as they can really move to the extreme. I’m using the low from the big move 2 days ago on exk as my stop (4.37) Good luck!

Upon recapping last night, I grabbed those SUNE 20s at market open, good looks After Hours.
Can the Russell get another 5 points today? Nice little YOLO TNA $69.50 call going on. Currently in middle of a little pocket. Thinking about a sandwich in a good way.
Scratch that. Pop on TNA to $70 hit my feeler limit sell. In at .62 this morning, out at 1.62. Good to get back on the green side.
So quiet even with market rallying…

Took some weekly 305 puts in AMZN @ 1.03…we’ll see how that goes.
This rally does feel a bit different than those of the recent past though. This might turn into a trend up day for the growth / momentum names.

I spent a few hours studying the indices/sectors last night and I just don;t see how this market breaks out. I’ll probably eat my words but I’m pretty much all cash and will go with the flow anyway but except for energy/utilites everything looks to be in a difficult spot. Maybe not today or next week but I think we have another heavy flush. Today a pop on the jobs number and hard fade is what I’m thinking. A lot of predictions for a Friday morning but just some thoughts.

TLT up = flight to safety. Kinda like XLU up until today. Not great for stocks.
