That’s a tough one…just because yesterday was a big dive for it. 510 on Apr 24 down to 475 yesterday. I suppose it could go down some more, but it seems like its already made 1 big move down. (Just thinking out loud, somewhat devil’s advocate, but don’t mean to shake you from your conviction…plus you mentioned small position anyways, so it sounds like you’re managing accordingly…and I’ve seen you make some good plays).
Yosh; I thought it was going to lose $478 and close the gap to $440 today. Doesn’t look like it’s going to though. Think I’ll close. It does have a pocket to $440. Just needs sometime; I still think it flags out and drops.

If the miners confirm a long term bottom here, there is a lot more juice in this trade over the next 3-5 years. Of course, trade your plan, but if we get confirmation, Im looking at these as an investment.

Miners – AUY, EXK, HL and SLW. Sold NEM a couple days ago. Have been building these positions since January on my long miners short gold theory. Also, getting kicked in the nuts by GOGO.

some of them I got in the bottom but other not… AUY is a great example of a not. Took some heavy leveraging down to make profitable trades in NEM and just got out when the buyout rumor surfaced since I lost sleep on that one.
yup. GOGO holding my portfolio down in a big way today. sell off overdone? i mean essentially, its price has been cut but 50% of late. Did the market really think they would have a monopoly on this?

How much confidence in the Nasdaq and Russell has been wrung out over the past 6 weeks? Will there be enough to fuel any tradable rallies with the vicious fades we have had?
Honestly, this is the lowest I’ve seen in terms of confidence over the course of this entire bull cycle.
Indexes and stocks don’t need us retail traders/investors to fuel rallies…to the contrary, they shake the retailers, get them to panic sell, buy the shares on the cheap, and ride the next wave up without the retail investor. This is exactly what will happen. Fear will be up, confidence will be low…instituations will rip the market and ma and pa will be left behind scrambling to put some money together just in time to buy the next bloop.
OA doesn’t tell you what trades to make but rather shows you the tools and methods to manage risk and hopefully make money. Have a listened to everything… yes; have I followed what he has said on my own trading plan… no; so any losses I have right now are from unmanaged risk and trading off of emotion. I held YGE and now have a loss on it but I also purchased around 4 to 4.5. Probably should have sold at 7 but I wanted 14 so it was worth the risk to me.
Jeff, are you still holding YGE? I am thinking about a last add at low $3’s for my final position.
We have to take what the market gives. Fed speak tomorrow may help. A more stable Eastern Europe ditto. The Einhorn pack taking some profits would be at the top of my wish list.

Sold my $GOOG weeklies. Probably going higher but I coduldn’t resist booking my first +1000% gain this year. Loaded up on some $FCEL stock with some of the proceeds to play the reversal in $PLUG

I took some GOOGL 520’s yesterday and had some 540’s from Friday. Would have been nice to still be holding the 520’s as well, but couldn’t turn down 100%+ in a few hours, especially with the way tech has been trading.
I’m already scoping out my sell the rip list for the next couple days. So far I have:

CRM @ 53
LNKD @ 160
AMZN @ 310
I don’t think the profit-taking / mass exodus in the momo tech names are done just yet.

Chess also bought a miner on an up day. Big mistake. Buy on the down days, sell on an up day, especially on a big swing. I’ve made six miner trades this year using that formula and won each time. If a Piker can do it, so can you.

both good questions – id say no FXI, its not where the juice is at, and yeah if you say momo stocks are down 30% – well, you know that song and dance, 30% looks like peanuts if YY ends up low 40s..all that said, its the action, the space feels like weak action, ive got nothing more than that right now- so i was thinking some of these tech stocks on a pop, but havent seen it

Be careful, pairs trading in options is impossible. Unless you go deep ITM.
