Last big move was 18 points, 72 to 90 in just about 3 weeks… I entered the trade looking for a similar move which gives me a price target of 100. Small position with potential return of 800 – 1000% depending if and when pt is reached. – hail mary
that was an extreme shakeout attempt. My portfolio was extremely red for a 10-15min period.
Taking GGS stock for the R/R here. It isn’t without it’s warts but sometimes you have to put in the trade for the likely small loss for the occasional big win.

I’m asking for advice: In terms of letting winners run, I know we’ve talked about how you let it run if it puts in a higher high and higher low. What do you do if it does not take out the prior day high, it takes out the prior day low, but it closes above that prior day low? SFUN is a perfect example…IF it were to close at 95 today…I really don’t know if I should be selling or still letting it run. I would appreciate any input.

yoshii, it is up to you, but SFUN revisited Wednesday’s EOD pullback around $92.50. It is a lower low from the day before, but it held and reversed on nice volume.
If you are worried about locking in gains, any breach below $92.50 means that the current up and down trend is probably done.
Remember what OA said about periods of high volatility – it’s followed by periods of low volatility. It might just trend here back up to those $99 highs, and then back down to that $92. Consolidation.
I’d put a stop under the trendline from the 3/3 low using the higher 3/4 low to draw it. Today’s low basically touched it. Could fall down to $81 and still be in uptrend though.
Good call, geek. My biggest concern is getting out of Mar calls now. My time stop is in on FIO, so I’m selling even though I’m at a bit of a loss, and SODA is not as exuberant as I’d like.
I’ve got a $10 retest for FIO on my radar for a possible longer term holding.
