Despite every neighbor within a 10 mile radius of my home owning this stock here, I’ve graciously taken a loss and closed this position.
This further proves the point that even though the entire world can be of the same opinion on the same idea, doesn’t make the timing right.
Good thing I am fully leveraged in YY, YOKU, CREE, ANGI, QIHU, YGE, SCTY, VMW, WDAY, SPWR, CZR, TRLA, PACB and GLUU and everything else my neighbors don’t own.
A Sore Loser,

gah – I just followed with some F22.5 puts too….scramble drill
thankee for heads up – out for only -$.05
You can’t win them all, but it appears you come as close as a human can.
stretch goal for IDRA?…starting to feel like a pig here and that’s usually a sign.
You’re *long* IDRA?
yes, since 2.20’s before the last dip below 2
At the top end of the volume pocket and hitting resistance here at $5.50. I’ve peeled some off and thinking to peel off some more and hold a small position longterm. But technically the trade is not broken: higher highs, higher lows, but looking very parabolic.
If it spends some time here and builds a base, the volume profile is pretty thin up above.
But for me this was a trade, not an investment, so I need to stick to that.
“A sore loser” lol
Monster day for u OA – can’t win em all.
THLD any one? 5 years chart looks great.
Jeff- I can’t watch the webinars live but had a question that was nagging me as I watched yesterday’s recording. Maybe you can discuss this at some point. What fundamental research do you do with the biotechs? I’m a technical trader but don’t we need to really dig into the fundamentals when screening those stocks? Dilution, upcoming binary event risk, etc. Thanks in advance.
I have a son with a genetic disorder. I’m a part of the system.
/thread
too long didn’t read: DON’T FUCK WITH FLY FAGGOTS
lol – Fly’s up 8-10% for the year… Following OA’s guidance I’m up 30% for the year and that lags many others around here. Fly is good but OA is great. oh and fuck the Patriots
apples to oranges. fuck off
head to head and oa got put in place
oa knows his shit. but go against flys top picks and youd have better chance of survival in al qaeda as a suicide bomber
Head to head, you should measure more than one battle.
I joined TA over a month ago and I can tell you I have made money on every single OA option trade (100% winners plus) except 1. Know this.
first example that comes to mind is… YY. Fly sold early… OA still in. BOOM!
What?
You are a very crass internet personality.
In Boston, people are essentially real life manifestations of overdramatic cartoon caricatures with high pitched voices and the weirdest accents in the US.
lol, lol, and http://i.imgur.com/XvT2G.jpg
Something is definitely wrong with you.
Yeah… He’s from Boston.
LNKD stopped bleeding out
$DGLY anyone? rounded price structure with good volume pocket above.
how do you manage 15-25 position at times.
and don’t tell me you use stops
i want to know this too… it’s a little overwhelming
Me?
yes
That would be preferred… maybe in AHWOA? I find myself wanting to get in as many goodies as possible, which lately has lead to 20+ positions. Is there such a thing as too many positions?
I manage between 25-50 at all times. I suppose our comfort levels might differ a bit.
I stay around 7-12 anymore than that I go nuts.
likely
congrats
Well I want to become a pro at this… I’ve only been doing this seriously for about 6 months. I’m holding 30 positions right now which is the most I’ve ever held. Thanks for the response
i costantly loose some coins for some un.managed position in which i find myself doubling down / waiting / giving up cos overlooked and went out of the strategy .
Step 1)look at holdings
Step 2)type in ticker symbol of a holding to chart
Step 3)see if it is broken, if no hold, if yes write down ticker to recheck in final 10-20 minutes of the market and potentially sell.
Step 4)repeat for all holdings
Step 5) in final 10-20 minutes check the list of potentially broken names and if broken close out before market closes.
I like this, probably gonna use it
I respect the call and putting yourself out there. You’re true to your words.
bot some UPS Feb calls. 105s are less than a buck!
I did it (GOGO) as a February trade – I’ll bet anyone in here $1000 the trade works.
Following your idea, though I still think now that it eclipsed $25, it’ll go to $27. I might get in there.
agreed on both points
which strike did you go for lanforce? may join you..
The 22.50’s – but do ALL the math. Consensus is that it will go up before it goes down, so you’ll have a cheaper entry if it hits 27.
lanforce, depending on parameters, I’d take the bet (I see $27 before $24)…but, better off putting $1k on options and making a lot more 🙂
Thoughts on SSYS 135’s at 2.10. Want to buy the dip but don’t want to chase
It was at 131 when I traded it on 12/31 – so I wouldn’t call this chasing so much as “delayed entry into the trade”. And you’re getting the 135’s for what I paid for the 140’s – so I’d call that a GREAT trade !!!
Someone mentioned it in the last thread, but UA is in a nice spot here
Agreed NKE looks decent too.
UA is the quicker mover
out of $GOGO for a small loss.
Really like the call though and the wilingness to play the other side of the table.
I for one, want to be able to switch camps when the battle turns in the other direction, or at the very least avoid getting married to a particular bias.
Not sure where I saw this but I like it and have it next to my monitor:
Rule #1: Expect to be wrong.
Rule #2: Admit error.
Rule #3: Repair.
Never had a problem with the first two but #3 always sank me.
Not any more.
The cognitive dissonance is too painful financially and emotionally, so now I adhere to Rule #3 – making all the difference in the world to my account balance.
VIPS and WUBA took off without me…arghhh. Today is in a word “amazing”.
if you would’ve got the Jan 90 calls this morning, you’d already have a 5-bagger… almost bought yesterday fml
for a shipper…SBLK on watch for a retest, already in this stock. RJET retesting now with UAL. No position, yet.
I really think TSLA has the magic here.
i pulled the trigger Jan14 160 @1.10
I did exactly the same thing
I am a bit disappointed because I expected to see both Fly and OA both make money on the GOGO trade. I have seen that happen before – you know with the mkt goes up and down. That said, I caught a rare break: I sold Feb 24 puts instead by mistake, since mentally put = short = sell. I gladly closed the position for a 44% gain 🙂
we can always watch GOOG and PCLN go head to head…I’m enjoying PCLN, meanwhile on the sidelines with GOOG, though they both look great! I’d pick up AMZN too, but my NFLX episode has me gun-shy.
Wow, I can’t catch a break on a studiously researched position and this guy fat fingers a half bagger… Lanforce, take me out back and shoot me, old mate.
Follow the ongoing theme and I think you’ll do fine this month.
Don’t know if you saw it 52 week – but I posted the long version of the answer to your question in the prior thread. Here is the short answer.
http://www.optionsprofitcalculator.com/calculator
@lanforce, I just replied on the other thread. Thanks again!!
I didn’t realize we’d be paired off in this piece of shit stock. I would have executed this differently.
Thanks for YY. Couldn’t resist 800% gains. Out.
Added moar CLF calls
CLF and CRM just HAVE to pop soon !!!
i just got your crm trade for .24… thanks for the idea!
@Danny
Thoughts on TRLA running to 42 in the next 8 days ?
Lan, i’ll take ” What is CRM 57.50 for .23 please” – though i may as well pay up and go in for .24 or .25
in for 20 @ .24, we shall party or wallow in sorrow together.
It traded inside all day today – it’s primed, pumped and ready to soar.
What are you talking about “piece of shit stock”? That was an asinine comment. The two of you trading the same stock is no big deal and you are right, your timing wasn’t right, so no big deal. Your follow-up comments make you look childish when all it is, is a trade. I swear some of the males who post on this site are so immature.
chill
take a lap
Huh?
Cree was beast today
You people are all mentally ill. How is this Fly vs Oa when we are on the same team.
Let this little fly have his little monetary win in gogo in peace, without making him feel guilty about causing a loss for you spoiled brats here, accustomed to 500% returns.
I don’t always trade Options, but when I do, I make 500% returns.
Boston made this a competition. Both of you are responsible for making me $$$. OK – move along now – nothing to see here. YY +420% YGE +392% – nothing but killer picks.
It’s a duel now!
In one corner you have “The Option Addict” who through TWTR options helped get us in front of 1000%+ returns in a single trade.
In the other corner you have “The Fly”, beast stock trader and money manager who once traded options in TZA and TNA and made like 1000% return on his entire portfolio in under 2 years. (correct me if those details are slightly off, going by memory).
Best average return over top 8 of the next 10 trades on the underlying stock wins!
Winner picks the other person’s avatar image.
Let the battle begin!
BTW – up 12% YTD
Thought this looked kinda interesting and consistent with “better exits in 2014”. I have NO interest in this company and am not shilling.

I used a “target price” as an excuse to sell too often. I like your “stretch target” idea, I may have to try it. Either that or reframe what a target “means” to me as only the starting point of a win rather than “target=trade over, sell”
Agree – I like your idea that target price is the “starting point of a win” (SPOW). I may start using that !!!
Sometimes having a day job prevents you from touching your position s unnecessarily. Finally may get a nice surprise in the am on my MU position. Plus in CREE ANGI QIHU DANG CLF ANF 🙂
My first trade with option addict and I booked a loss with $GOGO =( I hope I can make the loss back
gogo…one trade…lets move on…CREE/YY…etc etc etc…we have a great crew
oh yeah….how about GLUU? Long from 2.58..Jeff called that long way ahead of the herd
I have been in shock all day…joined TA Jan 2nd and scaled into some of the late Dec trades on Friday and Monday, including WDAY. Bot Jan 85 on Friday for $.85, sold this afternoon near high of day for $4.30…that’s a gain of 500%. Figured lanforce would rib me for not riding this further but DANG (pun intended) I wanted to book the gain!
