Also for those of us with a few years under their belts that are tired of learning everything the hard way.

btw, GNK up nicely after the close.

I listened to the after hours, and am wondering — it seems that some of your trades closed because expiration was approaching. I have GS and CRUS with November calls, and so I didn’t close them out. I’m up slightly in both of them, even after yesterday’s losses. Would you have closed the positions if you had more time?

You brought up some good points yesterday, especially on “emotion” trading. I suppose it’s human nature akin to our gambling instinct to second guess everrything.

Having closed out GS (Friday), I’m certainly glad that it popped today.

the thing that works best for me is to immediately remove the stock chart from my TOS set-up after i sell. Otherwise it’s aiken to stalking your EX.

OA – do you see a play in PXD on this latest spike ? Obviously long is chasing (which I’ve steeled myself NOT to do), maybe an OTM put spread like 200/195 ?

The available options haven’t caught up with the new prices, so limited choices.

If you didn’t buy Monday, there is no way it looks better today in terms of entry point. Monday was the day. Next.

For those long in AAPL (with time to spare), the stock has been good for about $2 / day for a week or so. Thoughts on whether this will pin @ 500, or slow grinding rise toward $510 ?

OA: I see you are into CRUS for November. I was not at a computer yesterday to sell my Oct CRUS calls….my gain has now turned to a loss…Do I sell today and move on? Take my lumps!

FWIW , sold AAPL 500 Oct yest, holding Nov 500. Sold WLT Oct 15 holding common, may reload Nov still think WLT goes higher.Sold GS Nov yest, easy come easy go. Bought small APOL Nov 21, missing CF, eyeballing POT and MOS.Long UNXL, took small BALT. My two cents.

Thanks for sharing. I exited GS today (right before the spike), but agree that the pattern is not a good one. Heck everything is spiking today.
