Another Chinese Fraud: China Intelligent Lighting (CIL)

This is getting ridiculous.

Co announced that its engagement with its registered independent accounting firm, MaloneBailey, has been formally terminated. Co has begun to seek to retain a new auditor. The Resignation Letter described MaloneBailey’s resignation being due to accounting fraud involving forging of the Company’s accounting records and forging bank statements, in addition to other discrepancies identified in the Company’s accounts receivable. On March 24, 2011, Michael Askew resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company, effective immediately, including his position as the Chairman of the Company’s Audit Committee. On March 24, 2011, the Company received a preliminary information request from Amex requesting additional information. The Company intends to fully cooperate with NYSE Amex regarding this matter… Co was also recently notified by the staff of the SEC that it has initiated a formal, nonpublic investigation into whether the Company had made material misstatements or omissions concerning its financial statements, including cash accounts and accounts receivable… In light of these events, the Board of Directors of the Company has formed a Special Investigation Committee consisting of independent members of the Board of Directors to launch an investigation with respect to the concerns of MaloneBailey.

Delta Airlines to Refinance Debt

JP Morgan will do the honors.

The Atlanta-based company is seeking loans as prices for the debt recover after four straight weeks of losses, which forced companies last week to cancel $3.12 billion of loan transactions for refinancings. The S&P/LSTA U.S. Leveraged Loan Index, which tracks the 100 largest dollar-denominated first- lien leveraged loans, rose 0.44 cent last week to 95.28 cents on the dollar on March 25.

Bullish Tone Settles In

US futures are rising. NASDAQ futures are 7 points above fair value, while S&P are up 2.

The dollar is off by 0.15% and commodities are flat.

Asian Shares Recover, Even Japan

The NIKKEI is down a mere 40 and gains can be found everywhere in Asia, albeit small.

The standout is India, now up around 0.65%.

S&P futs are up 2. Crude is down .57.

Japanese Markets Drop as Nuclear Crisis Lingers

The broader Topix is down more than 2% and TEPCO shares are “ask only” at record lows.

For the most part, other Asian markets are shrugging off Japan’s problems with most markets up to little changed.

Obama Wants Regime Change in Libya

In his speech to the nation regarding Libya, Obama defended his actions, sounding almost exactly like former Preseident GW Bush. He furthered his intent to help Gadhaffi’s opposition in order to see regime change in Libya.

No word about the 1 million displaced in the Ivory Coast, thanks to their brutal civil war. Unlike Ivory Coast, Libya has lots of sweet crude.
Ivory Coast has sweet cocoa.
