THAT WAS NOT A REVERSAL: 72% of Stocks Closed Lower Today

It was smoke and mirrors and you know it. Stocks staged a miraculous index rally, fooling all of the regular Joe’s into thinking their fortunes were about to change. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Market breadth closed at 28%, meaning 72% of the stocks in your portfolio closed with losses.

Today was the biggest, broad based, trick placed upon the Third Estate in a long time. Distribution was rampant and the only sectors that thrived were utilities, precious metals and steel.

You’ve been dispatched, without regard for decorum.

Healthcare stocks led the way lower, as Karl Marx and Dr. Hillary Clinton hone in on profitable American medicine as a conduit to fund their politically charged pet projects.

The barbarians are at the gates.

Trade accordingly.

“The last time that global liquidity conditions contracted at this pace was March 2008 (right as stocks dead-cat-bounced on the back of Bear Stearns to JPMorgan)”

    that’s not a prediction / omen / warning / setup / hint / signal
it’s what you rahrah qe morons have wrought
a stock market a few percent off alltime highs
with global liquidity circumstance of prior collapse along with

the multiyear trilly propping and faking meant to save it from
regenerating conditions like that in the first place

Just so people know, Trump changed his previous stance a week ago, and is now in favor of H1-B visas to be given out to foreigners so they can take jobs away from Americans. I haven’t met people whose jobs were taken by Mexican immigrants, or people who look at a Mexican immigrant picking fruit or whatever and say “I wish I had that job.” But Americans who are totally qualified and eager to do the jobs that are given instead to H1-B visa holders are all over the place.

Just my 2 cents but I worked at a high end golf club around Trumps in FL, and they all do it, and they are types of jobs that would be good for college interns at best, the management are all local full time employees and are not H1-B, its all the seasonal staff and majority are from European countries, usually a class of college age kids get a chance to come work in America with fully paid housing and 6$ an hour. There are no colleges locally, and the ones that are can make more money elsewhere. And they leave in may and don’t come back until November.

You’re right. People who love Trump doesn’t care if every word he says is proven to be a lie. Amazing.

frog, all I can tell you is that I worked with many really intelligent people working in the USA on H1-B visas. They want their green cards. There’s a whole world out there. Who wouldn’t want the ability to come and go and come back again to work in this great country.

I just hope and pray Trump doesn’t have the devil’s opportunity to ruin it.

I like these folks too. They are great. Trump would not ruin anything for these foreigners, as he is for the H1-B visas. But they are taking jobs that would otherwise go to Americans. And Trump claims to be in favor of protecting American jobs but actually is not, since he is for H1-B visas.

Instead of stopping the H1-B visa folks from taking American jobs, he is planning to build a wall to keep out the Mexican immigrants who pick fruits and vegetables– who are not taking a job that Americans want. Few if any Americans are capable of picking fruit from dawn to dusk in the hot sun.

I agree! I’m so glad you appreciate what the farm laborers accomplish. The “Wall” is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. (Didn’t Bill Gates used to say that to employees? Ha!) I’ve know very few people who can do the labor of the farm workers. Remember the Florida farmer’s strawberries that rotted on the vine for want of pickers.

In the spirit of true debate, I would suggest that Americans go overseas for experience and then come back. It’s a foreign concept to us (pun intended). It doesn’t seem fair because they would most likely have to go to second and third world areas with dubious levels of guaranteed safety.

Yes, I love traveling overseas and seeing the people, the scenery, everything that’s out there. It’s mind expanding. And the 2nd and 3rd world areas make one appreciate what we have here.

Micheal Moore’s movie, Where to Invade Next is a good one for people who want to travel from their arm chairs. He went mostly to places in and near Europe.

I think there are some people in the U.S. who are hurting, whose jobs have been outsourced to other countries, who need jobs programs, and community programs of various kinds for both children and adults. I see that as more important than huge tax cuts for the already wealthy that Trump and all Republicans are in favor of. The money saved by the very wealthy in the tax cuts is supposed to “trickle down” but it doesn’t ever seem to. And many poor people end up without any opportunities to have a decent job or life.

I work as a Technical Recruiter in Atlanta. The problem w/ H1Bs is that all the VAST MAJORITY of H1B employees have 3rd party employers. These 3rd parties are the scum of the Earth. I know several H1B holders that have been here over 5 years and have not received their EAD or Green Card.

The third party blames the US government but they actually never even file the paper work. Why would they? Unless the H1B visa is being held by the actual company they work for (less than 5% of all H1B employees) the lion share of the hourly rate is going to the 3rd party.

These 3rd parties are typically shifty indian guys who are known to take in excess of 50% of all income. In fact, most H1B candidates “cannot even discuss their hourly rate and sheepishly reply “you’ll have to talk to my employer” when asked. There is no other work for it than pimping. Indian Pimping in the US.

I would be shocked if the majority of the money collected by the hard work of these technologists is not being sent back to India.

Example: I had a guy on contract for me at $100/hr C2C (Hadoop Architect in ATL). I came to find out later he had been working for his “pimp” for 6 years and he only sees $40/hr. He is scared to death to transfer his visa to another pimp because he is tricked into believing that it will start the whole process over again… Truly disgraceful.

These guys need oversight to ensure that they are providing the path to citizenship and (most importantly) that they STAY in the USA. All they really want is to bring their family here but in most cases they are never given that opportunity.

    Just my .02c

Outrageous. There should definitely be a law against people abusing other people in that way.

jahfari and frog, you are right. It can be an abusive process. From pay to benefits, to help with immediate family. I knew one very good couple and all they wanted was for both children to have the same citizenship rights but something changed and their second child, even if born here, would not have the same rights as there first born child. It was sad, confusing and portentous of something bad.

It is a VERY dirty game… I’m in the process of starting a fair H1B third party business where my candidates can transfer their visa to me.

They will only be responsible for the following:
        – paying off the 10k process which includes legal fees
        – paying me back 4x the 10k, after that i will only take 5% of their income until i get them their well-deserved EAD/GreenCard
        – once they receive the EAD, give me a shot to place them in a permanent role (double dip? yes please!)

In return, i offer the following:
        – full disclosure on how much they are making hourly
        – i copy them on ALL emails/contacts to the government regarding their status to show i am pushing it along
        – i show them all bills/fees associated so they know the process

Just seems logical and (of course) PROFITABLE.
