1964: LBJ supported the Civil Rights Act and won 44 states. His Republican opponent Barry Goldwater, who voted against the Civil Rights Act, won only 5 deep south states and his home state. LBJ received 94% of the black vote that November, only Obama in 2008 received a higher percentage of black note.
1968: Nixon co-opted George Wallace’s southern white votes with the help of Strom Thurmond and other Dixiecrats who switched party and became Republicans. Nixon won only 15%
of the black vote. (As the Republican presidential candidate in 1960, he received 32% of the black vote.)
1980: Reagan began his presidential campaign in Philadephia, Mississippi to pay homage to the KKK. The Republicans gradually took political control over the ex-Confederate states in the subsequent decades.

I actually agree that a good number of black voters in their best economic and/or social interest vote Democratic. I do also find it saddening that a disproportional number of white voters vote against their self-interest by voting Republican because of their (racial and/or other) biases.
It is meaningless to argue who is racist here because it doesn’t matter at all. Within a decade, the 40% of whites who consistently vote Democratic and the racial minorities will arithmetically reach a permanent majority as the white population continues to shrink in percentage terms. Whites will inevitably lose some political power, and it will be more painful to some whites (who are less evolved/enlightened) than the other (less bigoted) whites.
I hope you will live long enough to witness the events unfold. There will still be plenty of white men parroting Fox News and Limbaugh on websites like this long after your death.
Do you expect the non-whites will not be racist when they have majority control? Or will they look to discriminate against whites?
