Hoping For Collapse

Every night before I tuck myself into bed, I pray to the pagan Gods to crush the operators of this country with their hooves. From the top to the bottom, this country, specifically, is in dire need of a fucking ass kicking. Don’t get me wrong, if I was a Chinese national, I’d be tossing grenades into fetus soup fast food restaurants right about now. But, you must understand, the fuckery is too great to bear. Let me apologize 10,000 times for what I am about to say: I desire to see my health insurer die slow in a vat filled with pig fat.

Here’s a little anecdotal evidence for you. About two months ago I had an endoscopy done, that required a 10 minute general anesthetic. Those motherfuckers had the stones to send me a bill for $4,500, since they are not even in a PPO. I guess my Doctor didn’t think I’d need an anesthesiologist  who was actually in a fucking PPO. Needless to say, I’d rather die in a fucking Iraqi prison than pay those cocksuckers such a criminal charge. I know all of you have similar stories, as do I. The medical industry is riddled with fraud, littered with degenerates who view medicine in dollar signs instead of treating patients. Having many physicians as piker clients, I can tell you first hand they are nothing more than OTB guys with medical licenses.

Don’t get me started on lawyers.

All you hear on the news is how bad Wall Street is, while these other fuckers are robbing old ladies of their monthly social security checks. Nah, we don’t need reform. We need a full fledged “let’s do this shit over, while BBQing a few good Doctors” program.

The IRS can fuck themselves too.

Nah, I am mostly long. I have just 20% VXX. In my personal, I am loaded with TZA, with a side order of TSO. However, should the market spring higher, I will cut it out quick.

I knew we were going to selloff today and not in arrogant way. I am just saying ….. from what I see tomorrow things will change even though two days ago they did and essentially three days..

My loss comment refers to tomorrows price movement within TZA, which will be down. Idiotic economy but has anything changed from March 2009 to today. Same economy, same unemployment, same foreclosures, worst treasury yields, terrible housing etc..

            Two things.

            I bot TNA today and

If there were a true free market in health care (as opposed to this PPO bullshit that was invented by Congressional innumerates in the name of ‘reform” in the 70’s when you were in swaddling clothes) you would not be bitching at those docs because they would not be your docs.

not sure what you refer to as free. It is just a zero sum game where smart people think their smarter than other smart people. I have no complaints with market, until it goes against me, which post people are the same.

As for my comments, one can obviously tell where I am situated for tomorrow.

Whether I am right for one day by chance or not is up for one to decide. You always have 50% chance of being right or wrong. But is it skill or luck. The people will decide and frankly I don’t care.

I am looking to get into gold, but for whatever reason I am continuing to wait for a bigger pullback. Right or wrong, I play mostly stock market and gold for long term. Maybe I get better entry maybe not. Will see. I think 850-1100 is very possible (wide range as I got no idea what level will react until I see it). But short gold as in value, no thanks until its secular top

IRS agents for sure………..and BTW, did you know that the IRS will be deeply engaged in the day to day operations of our new national health care program/package/stimulus or whatever the godforsaken thing is?

Lawyers………Ditto. Dip them all in a vat of nitric acid before flaying them publicly. Maybe 2 out of a hundred are decent human beings. The rest are just lecherous blobs of protoplasm that waste oxygen, generate copious amounts of CO2 and methane and should therefore be carbon taxed into oblivion……..that would be prior to the acid dip.

Docs?……..Idunno………done work for a lot of them here locally and nearly all are very decent people who really care. Can’t say the same about a good share of the peripheral members of the medical field. Your anesthesiologist for example is an excellent model of what I’m talking about.

Taking time to write you from my Canadian rockies trip (btw far fucking better than Maine).

Fly, think of health insurance co’s as the expedias and hotels.com of the travel industry. If you use their services and are happy, great. If you purchase their bargain basement product and providers dont participate, BITCH fly, it is your problem because you are too much of a moron to ask if the provider participates.

You are angry at the wrong entity. You should be angry that the health insurance co won’t fork over market rates to the providers. The providers will participate at the market rate.

Your rant is entirely off target. YOU are greedy moron in this situation.

Hang on a sec. I get due diligence. But providers have a responsibility to reveal when you clearly aren’t covered up front. But I’ve noticed it “slips their minds” frequently.

My dental office practically salivates every time I come in – and it’s not just my smoldering good looks. I pay retail for their services for myself and my whole family because I prefer the quality of the dentist. But I know what I’m getting into up front.

Blue Cross / Blue Shield for medical on the other hand – a black box that makes the Fair Isaac credit model look like child’s play.

Somewhere earlier today I read that doctors and lawyers were once a profession, now they are simply businesses like any other.

If you call them, many times they will accept whatever your insurance pays. They bill it all jacked up expecting your insurance will pay 50% (or whatever) for out of network, and then they still get paid what they want and “write off” the rest. Negotiate it. They won’t be surprised at all if you try.

No one checks all the extra providers they use like anaesthesiologists. People only check to see if their primary provider, the person they have the appointment with, and/or the hospital, are preferred providers. Insurance companies know this and take advantage of folks, because they know they can get out of covering all the additional providers. The doctor should have found you a covered anaesthesiologist though, so I think it’s his fault too. My docs always do. And the bill certainly is outrageous.

I knew then the US medical system is fucked, however obamqcare isn’t going to fix it- it’s going to make it worse.

OTB guys with medical licenses? What is an OTB guy?

What you mention would be too nice a fate for my own medical insurer. But then I have a Blue Cross plan.

Doctors– I have seen ones with dollar signs in their eyes and ones who are genuinely caring and who give me a lot of info about the research on my conditions, and what treatments seem to work in their experience and which ones don’t. A mixed bag in my experience.

The IRS– ridiculous. Unnecessary. There should be some kinds of flat consumption taxes, or transaction taxes, or other things where you don’t have to hire an accountant to figure out the tax laws for you, and where no one can duck under a tax shelter loophole and get out of paying as others do.

I would agree that the fuckery is too great to bear. We could change that all if we all only voted for Congress folks who took no Special Interest money and who pledged to vote in Campaign Finance Reform immediately. The FCC could require radio and TV stations to donate time to candidates as a condition for their license renewal. Need to get rid of insurance companies and other pigs feeding at the public trough. They are worse than Europe’s PIIGS.

Obamacare is a giveaway from the taxpayers to the private health insurance companies– exactly the kind of thing you will get from either political party– as they are both controlled by Special Interests, whom they allow to feed at the public trough.

I am with J: Obamacare will make the doctors take cash only; the insurance companies are already driving them to do that now. In fact, M. Le Fly, offer Dr. Douchebag $500 cash and a promise you won’t give him a taste of your pimp hand – either that or move to sunny (usually rainy) Vancouver, where you will pay $108 max – per month – for your whole family, pharma excluded (but even that is about 80% cheaper than America).

Sorry to say, this system actually works.

Also, top rates are about 44% on income and interest, 25% on cap gains.

  30. fucking fuck

The even more fucked up thing is that cost of tuition for school has continued to go up like there’s no tomorrow as easier and easier lending makes it possible for them to jack prices, thus requiring more jacked up loan programs and scholarships to the point where doctors end up fucked from the start. Even with these high ass prices, the fact is, medical industry workers have debt so high it’ll still take them half their life before they pay that shit off. Put some credit card debt and home loans and potential for major deflation wiping everyone else out anyways, and super high taxes, which you know is only going to get worse, and they’ll be in debt till they die.

That’s the problem with this country. No incentive to produce a service that’s a true need, no matter how much the government trys to fuck with the medical insurance. It’s just not affordable. Fuck I fainted and a friend thought I seizured because he saw my eyes roll back. As precautionary I went to hospital and I got billed 2k just for them to tell me to “contact them” if it continues and to give me an IV and I didn’t even get a hot nurse or anything.

When it costs the price of a house to go to school, you know that shit is in bubble mode and will have to come down.
Fuck it, people can learn to be doctors by studying under one for a few years, medical field makes more mistakes than any other profession anyways, it’s not like you’re safe anyways. Used to be that you had a worse chance of surviving if you went to a (witch) doctor, but people went anyways because of the illusion of control. Now it’s more scientific, but it’s still the same shit.
We all die one day, who gives a fuck. I’m not paying shit so someone can grab my balls and stick a tube up my ass just to reassure me that I’m healthy. What the shit is that? fuck this shit.
People are starving in the world and rather than have more farmers, more people building shelter in 3rd world countries and more people building pipelines for water supplies we have people who work so they can pay some asshole teacher to tell them to read a book, so they can become overpaid assholes that stick tubes up our asses and pay us so much that we have to have insurance to pay for it, so that we spend our resources on this bullshit just so we can hope to identify a problem a little earlier to possibly live a little longer?? And to make it worse, we actually think deflation is a bad thing?
    fucking fuck!

At some point in the future, perhaps decades from now, I think people will look back with astonishment at this period in history.

They’ll wonder how such a small group of people could become empowered to conjure up trillions of dollars, blow trillions more, bail out their banker buddies, erode the value of people’s savings, wage senseless wars, wreck entire economies through misallocation of resources, and yet ridicule public discourse as ignorant and irrelevant…

In any different context, this would all seem completely insane.

Fuck that. The financial risk takers who legally make investments should be rewarded for their due diligence, but the line shall be drawn for the professionals who do not possess the important psychological trait of fiduciary responsibility. One must contain the necessary resistance to quell their potential personal greed at the risk of destroying their very business.

Have you seen the rag-proletariate rising above the bourgeoisie?!? I would like to drop my top hat on them and crush them under my English-made black polished shoes.

Look at our social idols- glorified female prostitutes/ring leaders, basketball forwards who get hour shows telling people where they will be playing for millions of dollars, magicians that try to trick entire cities, disgusting beggars that clog the legal system, Tim Sykes, the list goes on.

The hotels have recently been catching some good earnings reports and I like the story of GET the best. Revenue per available room was up despite the flood and bookings have been increasing sequentially. Despite the temporary closing of the Opryland Hotel, tax revs from the hotels in the area were only down 2.2% in May despite calls for losses of 20%+. Even though bookings were moved to other hotels, temporary workers and families were forced into booking hotel rooms which would obviously also increase food/beverage consumption at said places. I like the catalyst of the flood to provide a deluge of increased earnings QoQ.

I’m planning a purchase of this stock, I do declare.

It’s easy to explain. In bad times people look for entertainment. Rednecks, in particular, prefer to delve into adulteries with local females. As the action normally happens in trailer-park-hotels aka GET, investment in their stock in such times seems to be a good idea.

In North Korea they amputate legs without anesthetic. It’s less costly to hire five orderlies to hold the patient down. Of course after said patient passes out and lapses into a near coma for three days, they don’t need to spend money on food either. Free universal healthcare is just grand.

The reality is that ALL medical procedures are negotiable and is very much like buying a car.
I have had an individual health insurance policy with a $10,000 deductible and have negotiated a number of procedures over the years. I received a 40% discount on my hernia operation several years ago and had two cataract operations over the last ten years and negotiated 30-50% discounts from all involved (from the hospital to the surgeon).
I started out low and we actually negotiated,
As an attorney (over ten years ago) I used to represent a number of Humanas,HCAs,and independents across the religious spectrum.
This is how the game is played and most people do not know it.
    Just like buying a car.

Wow! What a conglomerate of messed up comments. There is one basic problem here that not many of you seem to get. The doctors are being charged so much fuckery by the insurance companies because they are held to such a ridiculous standard of liability that they barely make enough coin to be Henrys. They are held to this liability because we are litigious suing mother fuckers who are ready to yell “malpractice” at the drop of a hat. This also leads to a “standard of care”, approved by the insurance companies, that the doctors have to obide by in order keep that insurance. The doctor can’t even tell you what he really thinks if it is not the same as what is dictated to him. As such, prices have to be high in order to cover the liability insurance, and when you talk about anesthetics, the liability is that much higher. Both the doctor and the facility (hospital) have to be covered by liability. This is why we will never go to cash.
Fly, regarding your anesthesiologist, if he doesn’t bill your insurance directly, that doesn’t mean your insurance won’t pay for it. It just means that you have to bill your own insurance. If he is not in your preferred, you may have to pay a higher percentage but it is unlikely that you would be expected to pay the full price. Also, sometimes they send you the bill with the full price (not the negotiated price) while they are waiting for payment….an fyi as it were. You should just give them a call and ask.

And also a good percentage of a medical bill (the more complex ones) contain procedures that are intended to cover ones (the hospital and or doctor) ass.
      It’s called defensive medicine.
Many years ago they used to be called unnecessary and unreasonable charges but are done today to cover ones ass.
One example of many was when I had a trial defending a hospital bill and the attorney for the patient claimed a pregnancy test given a 13 year old female teen was unnecessary and should not have been billed.
Well, she was unconscious from an OD and if she was pregnant and the hospital injected her with the life saving drugs the very same attorney would have turned around and sued the hospital for malpractice.

Also, if the bill is rather large ask for an itemized bill-a UB 82 (as opposed to a summary) and for an audit where they will go line for line and check against the order to see if it was actually ordered and received.
One could save a huge %.
At one time I was thinking of starting an audit business of both the medical biz and the legal biz (attorneys bill to their corporate clients-same BS believe me) but didn’t think Central Florida was large enough to support it.

I know this is not the place to talk spiritual topics, but there is in fact an Achilles heel of those who are causing the world’s mayhem for their own personal gain, and this information should be shared freely. The information may represent the most important lost esoteric knowledge ever known to man. Living as a consumer battery in a corporate political machine (the egregore) will do that to you.

Egregore: from a Greek word meaning “watcher.” A thought-form created by will and visualization. A group egregore is the distinctive energy of a specific group of magicians who are working together, creating and building the same thought-form or energy-form. from: Golden Dawn Glossary

“Any symbolic pattern that has served as a focus for human emotion and energy will build up an egergor of its own over time, and the more energy that is put into such a pattern, the more potent the egregor that will form around it. The gods and goddesses of every religion, past and present, are at the centers of vast egregors charged with specific kinds of power. This power is defined by, and contacted through, the traditional symbolism of the deity in question.” John Michael Greer, from: Inside a Magical Lodge

“The egregor is always an invisible and spiritual being, which is coupled with a physical entity. When several people on the earth unite around a common idea, they give birth to an egregora… this being is then going to become independent and have its own life which will be capable of influencing human beings and history. This is a terrifying secret which was carefully hidden inside the ancient mysteries. They called it: “The art of creating Gods”. Then there was the war of the Gods…Man became a pawn in the hands of the egregors. He became the slave of the beings which he himself had created; and now he is obliged to feed them with his blood and his life.” Olivier Manitara, from: “The Egregor of the Dove and the Triumph of Free Peace”

“What is an egregore? It is the psychic and astral entity of a group. All members of a group, a family, a club, a political party, a religion or even a country, are psychically included in the egregore of the organization to which they belong. Of course, each of us belongs to several egregores at once. Therefore, each individual who is involved in a group receives the influences of the egregores, that is the astral counterpart of the group, in his psyche. This process is unconscious. The resulting drawbacks are, first, some perturbating psychic influences in the majority of cases, and second, a restriction of inner freedom. It is impossible to free oneself from certain egregores, for example the egregores of the country you live in. However, we should free ourselves from all egregores which are not essential. An egregore actually grows by drawing support from the members which constitute it who, in turn, through their repeated actions vivify it, somehow helping it to maintain its power.” The Philosophers of Nature, Inc. from “Fundamentals of Esoteric Knowledge: Lesson” 1

“About two months ago I had an endoscopy done, that required a 10 minute general anesthetic. Those motherfuckers had the stones to send me a bill for $4,500”

    Fly,
From your post, I believe you are intimating health care charges should be tied to time. This is your best idea yet! Seriously! Health Care Providers charging for time? I love it! Let’s do it. I am board certified surgeon in Dallas, Texas and I work about 75 hrs a week. I am over $250k in debt for my altruistic adventure and I get up six to eight times a night when I am on call. Sometimes I have to go in in the middle of the night and wee hours of the am and perform procedures free of charge for the indigent. Otherwise, the hospital would yank my privileges. So, let’s break it down and ascertain what I am worth. My overhead is about $300k a year. According to market analysis, my skills justify $1.83 million a year. Oh, I want to be paid what I am worth! You can’t do your own procedure, right? You need me to, right? I also want to be paid for my time spent finding you an in-network gas passer. You don’t expect me to do it for free, right? The average wait time on the phone with an insurance company is 27.9 minutes (if you get the right person from the jump). Afterall, your time is better spent eating lobsters at low end paper hat establishments and getting your lexus’ navigation updated, right? Ok, with the ground work laid, what do I get an hour and how many hours do I work. Well, let’s get out of the way my total spent on the job. Simple. 40 hours a week and not f*cking second more! Fair is fair, right? What shall my hourly wage be? Adding my costs to worth and dividing by 40, I come up with $1,239/hr (with 4 weeks vacation). So, where can I pick up my check? Thanks, Fly! You are the best!

There is much to be happy about reading over these earnings reports today. For one, Jake’s bellwether for the economy, UPS, reported sequentially higher on the top and bottom line. There are many companies raising guidance with increased visibility, effectively leveraging current results going forward. As a result of asset appreciation and the dollar getting crushed, commodities are surging higher along with the Euro. While I believe our Administration wants a lower dollar, the US economy cannot flourish with very expensive oil/gas. I’m keeping my eye on that while considering, what does INTC do this quarter to top the best earnings reported in 10 years?

    Overall, business activity is increasing.
