Thai Food Loving Jackasses

As I conclude my rapid fire journey through the vagrancy of New England, I am left with one thought: Thai food eating jackasses.

No matter where I traveled, from Mystic to Hyannis to Gayville USA (Provincetown) to Plymouth to Portland to Bar Harbor to Boston, those motherfuckers (citizens) love Thai Food. It’s kind of odd and somewhat disturbing that despite the wide abundance of top shelf seafood available to the shingle sucking citizens of New England, they curry the grotesqueries of Thai food. Fucking asshats.

As for my trip, I am due to return, back to the civilized world of NYC, on Tuesday. I will be trading from the luxury of my five star rated hotel room tomorrow morning, just prior to heading out into the bullshit city of Boston for a little low grade tourism.

As for the markets:

I sense we have one final push higher before we sell off a bit. If you notice, The PPT has been whipping between OVERBOUGHT and OVERSOLD quite frequently these days. That’s because of the inane nature of this market, whereby it tests the internal fortitude of both bears and bulls on a monthly basis.

This market is not for the amateur, just like hiking asshole mountains is NOT for city folk like me.

    Safe Journey Sir!

The fish are all dead. BP killed them. Can you pick me up some spicy noodles on your way back?

What was that Woody Allen line about being out in the country?

        “There’s no place to walk — there’s no sidewalks…”

and something else about screen doors…

The day was spent out on the reef. An oversized barracuda and his little pals led me to a shark’s lair. Nice teamwork. Good visibility, calm seas. Not bad at all.

I used to live in Hell’s Kitchen (the new Hell’s Kitchen, not the old Hell’s Kitchen) and there has to be more Thai food restaurants per capita in that neighborhood than in Thailand. No other point to this post but to say….Thai food has swept the nation. Full disclosure: long pad thai.

Fly, go to The North End of Boston, Little Italy, and try a modest place for lunch callled Umberto’s, on Hanover St. If they are not open (sometimes they take the month of July off and travel to Sicily), any restaurant in that area will do. You know the kids are going to want to go to the food court in Quincy Market. Little Italy is right around the corner. For dessert try the Cafe Vittoria for a cannoli and espresso and sambuca.

Actually, there’s also a hole in the wall called the Daily Catch in the North End. Go during lunch as it’s a little less busy there. Their pasta is awesome.

Is Jimmy’s on the Watah still down there on the waterfront? Great seafood there… or used to be.

The only thi’s in houston are attached to females. We outlawed thi cooking in favor of japanese. No offense, but lower asian cooking uses cats and dogs. Japanese cooking very tasty by comparision.

Last year I drove up the West Coast, I can assure you it is the finest coast for driving and highly recommend it. Here on the West Coast markets close at 1:00 so you have the entire afternoon to swim and surf to clear the mind from all the market activity. Imagine enjoying your vacation and being present with the family in the afternoons without being distracted by market movements.

I just saw one of the smartest ideas I’ve seen in a while on PBS Nova tonight. As a part of the digitization of books by Google and the gov,t there are many pre-20th century books that when scanned produce words that are unrecognized by the interpretation software. So this 30yr old professor at Carnegie Mellon came up with the idea to use the technology of a company he launched earlier. His existing company supplies websites with the software that generates those one word warped-text graphics that are used for spam protection when you are signing up for something or typing in comments on websites etc.

So you know when sometimes you see not one, but two words in those anti-spam odd looking word graphics? One of them has a strong possibility of being a scanned image from a book that could not be interpreted by computers and the other is a word generated by his software. Therefore if you type in the correct second word to which the computer knows the answer, it assumes the first word is correct too; and you were just a part of the digitization of historic books. The millions of anti-spam tests that go on everyday has rapidly expedited the original project of such massive scale. Fucking smart.

Not many Thai food places in Orlando but there are plenty of all you can eat $5.99 buffet places.
And even cheaper with a senior citizen early bird special.

SWELL. such a deal. Try Panda Express. Went once, got sick, concluded their use of rancid panda is not as good as the feral cats they used previously.
