I’m making a lot of unnecessary trades, due to the fact that I’ve been “box watching.” I swear to God and Santa Claus, I do much better when I’m out doing stupid shit, instead of watching tick by tick. I blew out of FAZ and GNK today, while buying a little more VXX and SD. Quite frankly, it’s all one big non-event.
Oh, I also bought a little HEAT, in order to take part in a little CHINESE LOTTERY.
As for the BP fiasco: I want them to pay for everything AND MORE. I just believe in due process, pardon me. I’m also the type of guy that believes cameras in NYC, due to “terror threats,” is fucking fascist. Everyone is Hitler. Therefore, no one is Hitler. See how that works? When the real Hitler steps up, you won’t even know it.
TLT moved up and my little VXX ticked a tad lower. Let’s see what tomorrow brings, shall we?

The way I see it, BP started the mess and should be punished, but the US Government is accountable for not permanently collapsing that hole. Based on my rationale, the US government has ultimate accountability for protecting the gulf and have failed, as usual.
The Euro bank stress tests will show how well they are capitalized, regardless if they are or arn’t.

Negative 3x ETFs don’t lose much ground and gain a bit in the final minutes before the bell. Coupled with some other indicators I interpret it as not yet bearish sentiments (of course) but rather as gradual settlement of hedging mood on the part of the vuvuzela-bearing herd. I am just waiting for a proper catalyst to convert this careful attitude to a full-scale “run for your life” kind of shit. And the shit, as you know, is still out there. In plenty.

Sorry for Vanishing
My partner is paranoid over posting our conversations on the blog– due to compliance issues.
I’ll try to convince him otherwise, but I cannot promise anything.
As far as the market is concerned, I think it sucks bad. I have retained my long positions in VLO, NGAS and GI and gone short RACK, FORM, ANAD, SMDI, SIRF and BWNG.
Basically, I have zero confidence in the market and sense we are heading lower. Naturally, I could change my mind 10 minutes from now– but I doubt I will.
If you really have no idea what you are doing and want quick advice, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll try to help you as best I can.

You can’t believe politicians who say they want less of it. The last politicians who told us that effed up so badly that they were voted out of office for the current bunch, which, as Fly often notes, is no worse. As if any politicians go to all the trouble of raising money & campaigning, so that they can be without power by causing us to have less government. The politicians who say they want less government, actually want less control BY government OVER Special Interests that finance their campaigns, and more control OF government BY Special Interests that finance their campaigns. So when you side with them, then Special Interests, including mega-corporations and government employees unions, get to control every breath you take, and get to take all the money out of your wallet and keep it for themselves. This is what the politicians do who talk about “freedom” and “less government.”
The only way U get freedom is by organizing all across the country with other Americans, and everyone agrees to only vote for folks who have not accepted a single dime of Special Interest Group campaign money.
