What has changed in the past week? It seems that there is some hope that #4 and #5 are being managed expertly by the communists based on last nights import/export data. I believe that Spain’s issuance went well as well, so there is some hope there. Yen has also stabilized over the past two days and appears to be coming off while the Euro bounces back. All this leads to short covering only at this point I speculate. What else?

I FOUND IT…..I FOUND THE REASON why I messed up on the Bond Auction!!
Some how in my mind I thought the BID to Cover from last months Auction was 2.96 and that number was the lowest in the year….I HAVE NO idea why 2.96 was in my head??????? Looking at the data tonight, I had in my last weeks article 2.60!!!!! NOT 2.96!!!! that is why I was so confused why everyone thought it was such a good auction. Was driving me crazy, and it turns out it was a lameass Math Mistake, and it actually was an OK auction but Yield was higher. I know it doesn’t matter to most, but it was confusing the heck out of me in what I missed…….

As most know, most “professional” money managers are trounced by the indexes year in and year out. How do they keep there jobs? Their clients know even less than they.

But without much hard work & perseverence; I imagine, it wouldn’t have happened. Brains alone don’t mean that much. There are many broke geniuses & rich but hard-working not so smart people.

This is why we have the bullshit bravado – The toughest part of trading is having the balls to step up and buy when the crowd is against this approach, or selling when the crowd is firmly in the camp of the rally. It is tougher than it seems. You see, it’s not buying when some turn bullish but a majority are bearish – ya know, “let the market come back 5-10% then I will purchase when it is serious about coming up”. No, I mean when the market is continuously puking its guts out and No ONE wants a fucking thing to do with it and everyone is in agreement that there is much, much more room to go down AND it is on the edge of the cliff kicking stones over the side. It truly does measure the size of ones testicles. You doubt yourself as well as the market flings feces against your positions because there is no way that you caught the dead bottom or top. When you go from 45% cash to 25% cash and eliminated all of your shorts and the market still goes against you. How much confidence do you have in yourself then? When you see an afternoon puke when you are 75% plus on the long side and 0% short. That is why most traders fail. They typically would bail out of the longs or load up on the shorts when this happens only to have the market rip up in their face the next day. However, the sense of satisfaction one has when the market rips AFTER you make the proper move is great. You believe, if for only one day, that you can dance the tango with this bitch. However, you quickly forget that because Mother Market can easily drop you on your ass while you are smiling and taking it all in. Allow us one fine glass of Bordeaux tonight my friend.

Just put my weekly review up, I tried to put more analysis in it….it really is a lot of fun to see how it all plays out. For tonight, eur/usd still playing around with the levels we left it. Shanghai Comp was like .29% up..copper was up, but not limit up way….not as giddy as us.

IMO, you should be using PPT to supplement your own trading system. 100% relying on someone else’s system is a recipe for disaster. Devote the time to creating your own system that you trust.
Yesterday was a “fugazi rally”. We are going down.
Futures pointing down and the financial news headlines in the US have done a 180…. however, my breadth system is showing that there’s a high probability we shrug off the negativity by the end of the day and rally again. Breadth was too broad on the long side yesterday and it impacted the techncials too much. The algorithms are seeing this just like I am. Ride with the big boys today.
I may need to pick up some oil stocks and ETFs today… 😉
