Pardon my slight tardiness in posting. I wanted to sit back and gawk at my positions a little longer, not so much different than a father watching an offspring win an Olympic medal (gold) for the first time.
My gains are north of 6%, year to date, and you are still a putz. Life is as it should be.
For the day, I enjoyed hideously fantastic gains in Flotek Industries, Inc. [[FTK]] , Sears Holdings Corporation [[SHLD]] , Lennar Corporation [[LEN]] , Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (ADR) [[CTRP]] , Mechel OAO (ADR) [[MTL]] , SandRidge Energy Inc. [[SD]] , AgFeed Industries, Inc. [[FEED]] and Cummins Inc. [[CMI]] .
On the front burner, I am interested in buying more Sociedad Quimica y Minera (ADR) [[SQM]] and initiating new positions in both Coinstar, Inc. [[CSTR]] and Neustar, Inc [[NSR]] .
Ultimately, I am just a one man coin printing press, whose only goal in life is to win and win large.

Based on today’s tape, I cannot believe I did so well. Thanks for the input.
Cheers!
I like the Coinstar play. I saw this earlier today: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2010695320_retailreportdigeredbox04.html
They rented $2M worth of DVDs on NYE! They’re like Netflix to-go. They did to Blockbuster et al what Boost Mobile did to major cell phone providers.
CSTR is the new NFLX. Plus their core business panders to the downtrodden/unemployed.
Exactly, “where ya dvd’s at?”
Hey buddy , last haven to run skim from coin op buisness ………..Hidden laundermat !
Part of me cannot believe the Coinstar/Redbox DVD crap/business model is working.
The other part of me says, how the fuck did I not think of this…DVD vending machines!! Until broadband streaming becomes widespread and all content becomes available (hurry up, NFLX!), this Redbox shit will be booming.
The genius of RedBox is that parents rent DVDs at every gas station, McDonald’s and Wal-Mart along the road trip to Grandma’s house, just so that the kids will shut up in the back seat.
Nice Day Senor Tropicana! Stock God!!!
Interesting music choice.
Was it merely coincidence, or did you know it was about the deep and long-lasting emotional pain of cuckoldry?

That would explain some things.
Incidentally, the anagram for “Mr Mojo Risin” is “Jim Morrison” and yes, this song is based on a book of sexual perversion called “City of Night”.

Jake is definetly sore about his gmcr loss. He is now reduced to calling me names.
Fuck off, coffin stuffer
As someone else here noted, ever since Jake went short, he turned into an ego-maniac and started attacking other people on the site.
I call it the ‘Tim Knight Syndrome’
I’ve always been an ego-manic, you parasitical little douchebag.
Just like you’ve always been a sycophantic underoo sniffing silicon scrivener.
Let’s not trade.
___________
It’s your time of the month again I see….
I hear Tim’s looking for guest bloggers, you’d fit right in now.
ROFL.
You did NOT just state it was “My time of the month again,” did you, Melville?
Holy shit, my eyes do not deceive me… you DID just say that!
How far in the backwoods of fucking Canuckistan do you live, anyway, Cicero?
Better yet — when was the last time you had contact with a non-vinyl woman?
___________
Um, it was a joke Scrabbly Beans, and not even directed at you.
Reminder (again, sigh) — zero GMCR position.
___________
Having had such a marvelous day, you’d think you’d be in better humour (sic).
Fucking grouch.
______
The iPhone app is awesome. I’d expect no less. Veritably.
in case you people didnt know what the fuck he means here is a link http://sentimentrader.blogspot.com/2010/01/follow-januaryand-fade-october.html
just a question about why you sell 90% of postion and keep 10% what’s the rule or reason behind it. Thanks
Jamey
your loss was dispatched here on the net. It’s a good thing you didn’t rtake the advice of lunatics from nz and shorted the stock. As for cuckholdry, not a very humourous joke.
Fuck off, coffin stuffer, neither is rape, yet you’ve headlined with it.
What “loss?” Are you fucking delusional?
And who is “Jamey??”
____________
apparently you are, dumbass
hahaha
5% gains minimum per day this year. Sure to continue if not accelerate.
Re: CSTR Servicing the machines is a large cost and having Redbox as part of the family is good economy of scale since one fleet can service both products.
For the coinstar machines perhaps whenever possible they would have a deal to provide coins to the hosting business, they could count and roll them up in the truck and take them back inside.
.
Sorry I meant jakey. Damn iPhone insists your name is Jamey. As for the other stuff you mentioned: pure gibberish.
I do believe you have forgotten the war that was declared when you said “sell cawfee, buy gold.” I promised “i will eat your liver,” and I am doing so right now.
You are eating kitty litter, not Jamey Liver.
If you are talking about when I was japing you about GMCR, you ,know very well I said I wanted to buy GMCR, only cheaper. I still believe that’s a possibility, and I’m patient, so we’ll see. You’ve seen my amended buy pt.
As for “buy gold” — from the very post you mention:
But it’s not yet time to buy gold in size. We’ll likely have some rebound from this oversold condition, but I think we’re in for some additional pain before it will be time to back up the truck once again.
I have yet to give the signal to buy again. And yet, even with the recent sell-off (before which I dumped 60%) I am so far ahead in my retained gold holdings that only if you owned GMCR in 2001 could you compare gains.
Don’t hate me for not doing the green robe and sandals act, it’s just not my style.
Your pal,
Jamey.

Ha!
You know damn well what we are talking about here. Yes, on the phone, you said you liked GMCR and would buy it lower. However, on the net, you went gangster and bet against me.
It’s not like I said to short gold in 2001 or anything. Or, it’s not like I said to short RGLD, while it was your largest position.
To be fair, you did not say to short GMCR; but you certainly took the other side. There is no denying or backpedaling away from that.
The fact of the matter is, fad or not, GMCR is 31% higher from my avg. buy points until now.

Call the WAAA-mbulance!
Please, you are eating sand dollars with teeny tiny little crustacean biscuits inside.
It was not just on the phone.
I said I would buy it “at 55,” and I stated it in your comment section multiple times.
In my year end review, I upped the number to 69. No need to short, but no need to chase, either.
Opporteunity (sic) cost, is all I’ve lost.
(Plain old gold is up over 308% from my buy point. RGLD? Oy, when you get to four figures before the percentage sign, it starts to get boorish, no?)

Somebody go get some soda while I pop the popcorn. This is getting good.

Gonna watch the food fight with some oranges.
Very cold here.
My grapefruits, valencia oranges, hamlin oranges, and tangerines could be in trouble.
Most of my naval oranges have been eaten or shipped.
Lord of the liars
you railed on, like a woman on the rag, about how bad gmcr was, based upon astrology and your charts. Do not step to your truly with a knife, when yours truly has a cannon.
Last I checked, gmcr was printing 84, while your little gold plays have been sucking cock.
Oh, yeah, I made 2000 percent in a stock more than 10 years ago too; but what does that have to do with the weather in Detroit today?
I would guess DoubleClick,theglobe.com, or AskJeeves ipos?
Good times if you could get the “special” price offering.
Ten years ago? Any monkey made large coin ten years ago playing retardo-stox.
I took what I could from that mess and put it in RGLD (among others). Money I still have.
In RGLD.
_____________
And please, you can do much better than the junior high-level “women on the rag” stuff can’t you?
Or have you been hanging with Sawdust-boy? (He must be thrilled!)
And he made 65% last year…. whew!
_______________
who is “sawdust boy”
my,my,my, look what i found in the big citi >>>>>$$$$$$$
We have a Red Box in Ennis, MT, but can’t get an iphone here because no ATT. It’s snowing here too, and cold.
Jake,
What did you get on your stocks in 2009 anyways?
I’m sure it was far better than my 65% or the Fly’s 100% or even CA’s 300%+ being that you are so much smarter than everyone.
Do not associate yourself with your betters, ankle-biter, it’s churlish.
______________
TA,
Don’t be such a piker.
Boring, as is the case trying to put a nail in a piece of solid oak.
For my investments for the last couple years I’ve been strictly accumulating.
61% equities (largely utilities)
5.88% foreign stock
19.2% bonds
13.6 % short-term
Most of my trading account profits, on the other hand, came from decimated financials rebounding.
