Next Stop: Dow 10,000

What better way to celebrate America’s brilliance today than to annihilate a few million bearshitters? I implore you to lean on a few stocks that are heavily shorted, in order to defeat the financial terrorists aka “short sellers.” These mangled men walk around with hunched backs, covered with burlap hooded shirts. I will tell you, with the utmost sincerity, I find it despicable that this country allows bearshitters out in the general public. If I was President, I’d put them in “reeducation camps,” where they would learn Fly-economics, teaching them to support treasury auctions and all forms of equities—even low-grade oil and gas stocks.

Look folks, hashing over the tragedies of 9/11 will not make us feel better about ourselves. Instead, we should all get rich, or in my case rich-er, on this date, so that we may afford Chinese made LCD’s and iPhones, manufactured by the generous folks at FOXCONN.

With my money, very simply, I like Flotek Industries, Inc. [[FTK]] , Hercules Offshore, Inc. [[HERO]] , Tesoro Corporation [[TSO]] , Holly Corporation [[HOC]] , Western Refining, Inc. [[WNR]] , Sonus Networks, Inc. [[SONS]] and [[RAX]] . Potential new buys include: Plug Power Inc. [[PLUG]] , DryShips Inc. [[DRYS]] , [[GSI]] , [[RAX]] and Synaptics, Incorporated [[SYNA]]

    Greetings Fly,

Do you still plan to liquidate 30% of your portfolio at Dow 10K? I remember you mentioned it one in your previous posts.

I really don’t know where this crappy market is going to end. Global liquidity is the highest the world has probably ever seen. of course it will come to grief but no one can say when, how or what level. The trend is your friend and 10,000 may be just another number. “May” is of course the operative word.

Central banks a too fucking loose again and this time they also have the bullshit stimulus working away distorting the world’s capital structure alongside the money spigot. Enjoy the fucking ride folks but be wary of the $100 tomato coming our way.

    fucking moronic governments.

Oh and by the way this is nothing to sing about as they’ve fucked the world economy in way we can’t yet believe.

Yep. Hard to believe that less than two years after crash, we are witnessing the development of ANOTHER equity bubble. This need to put off the pain til later will one day be unable to be put off any longer. Who knows when though.

Shed, that’s the hard: bit predicting when. The US is pretty vulnerable of course because everything is fucking distorted there… They’ve (Washington of course) totally and completely fucked up the capital structure, so the crash will come sooner. However China does have reserves and a very high savings rate (30%) which makes me think China, or Asia rather could go a long fucking way.. much more than we really think or know. We have Japan through the 80’s to look back as an example and they went for 12 years. China really looks like Japan 80’s on steroids.

The key to this shit seems to be real estate, or rather the litmus test for gross over heating is the real estate markets. However you really need to have really big distortions. At one fucking stage the Emperors place in the heart of Tokyo was worth more than the entire state of California. Normally I wouldn’t have a problem with that as Cal is a shithole anyways 🙂 however it shows how distorted they can get.

We’re nowhere near that with China etc. I added a couple of names in that pile of shit earlier today in Asia.

Don’t get like the moronic bears and overthink this. It’s a waste of time and not going to help you make a penny.

Follow your rules and trade as it makes sense always keeping an eye to the downside which can come at you very fast if you aren’t prepared.

yea, you’re spot on which is why I laid down capital with a 50% stop loss and able to afford it.This means the initial positions are smallish and I will add if those chicom stocks go higher only.

    Fly:

Never looked at it before. DRYS went from around 125 bucks to here (much lower actually). Have they had a stock issue? Fuck a duck what a total collapse. If world trade pricks up next soon this could fly, Fly. No?

world trade, doesn’t just prick up, it has to be fondled, caressed, slapped and jerked on for months and months before you will see a sugnificunt[sic] rise in the prick up…..

      lol…

so DRYS works more for a long term in my opinion.

        Artist:

You saw the trade numbers the other day? The trade deficit rose from around $26 billion to $33 billion (going from memory) it was a 25% increase which is the highest % we’ve seen in decades and it all came from the US hoovering in imports. again from memory US imports rose around a hefty 7% I think.

        another example:

Australian shipments of dirt to Asia is up huge although it hasn’t clearly shown in the raw numbers as the prices for dirt fell over the past 12 months. Shit is happening on the oceans dude.

Brazil: another country that has recorded positive GDP which means they will also send dirt around the world and suck in imports.

You gotta learn to love the distortions. This is filthy, decadent, vulgar Keynesian economics at its best. All tailor made for traders like the people on this board. Just remember though, enjoy the sex, but don’t fall in love with it as it will rip for balls off one day.

I think that’s a Scottrade glitch. http://shortsqueeze.com/shortinterest/stock/WNR.htm shows about 13% but I think it’s now only about 9%. Between 9 and 11 millions shares short (depending on source) and 88 mil outstanding. I guess the float is around 52 mil but that’s still not 70%. I’m not sure how it’s calculated but looks like around 15-20% if you compare short to float. Currently at about 5 days to cover on average volume?

while it may be fun to say “fuck you” on the anniversary of LEH’s death, Obama’s giving a speech on restraining the financial sector on Monday, which may panic people (or a conspiracy theorist may theorize that GS may force the market down to prevent the government from pulling this shit).

i’m considering whether to throw in some XLF puts to hedge.

DRYS is also in the oil biz? The shipping biz has a glut of ships – the rates have plummeted and and lots of new ships were ordered back during the boom. Some people in the biz predict slow gains ahead in earnings as world economy picks up. NM seems to be performing modestly here. Google short interest – Nasdaq has the numbers.
