Sunday Rant: Gas Crisis at “The Fly’s” House

Too many people on the internet have stolen my writing style. Because of this, “The Fly” will be changing up his style, over the coming weeks, in order to separate himself from the fucking mindless drones/asshole/cocksucking/leaches, who attempt to suck out my gray matter, on a daily basis.

In case you were all worried and shit (I’ve received zero emails, fuck you), “The Fly” and family live in an ice box, thanks to a broken gas valve in his furnace. Naturally, “The Fly” is willing to overpay, for this slight inconvenience, to have it (my fucking furnace) fixed in a timely manner. But, it seems the local technicians are too fucking busy getting ready for Sunday foolsball, than to help out a few icicles, who greatly desire a little HEAT. Cocksuckers!

Should this son of a bitch of a furnace remain unfixed, “The Fly” and Co. will be living large, at the local hotel, ordering all types of over-salted fare.

Aside from that, life is phenomenal. To date, I’ve spent an inordinate amount of money on Christmas and there is still much to do, such as find a new private beach club or buy another car.

Mind you, managing money for a living is an idiotic lifestyle/living. I sleep 3-4 hours per day, not by choice, but necessity. And, I fucking hate people. Maybe I should just run for local office and become some sort of Congressman. This way, I can fuck with all of the people I hate, in a very legal/scary sort of way.

Doing this blog thing is sort of inane too. However, because of it, I get to meet all sorts of cool people, like Howard, and make them pay for my pizza slices.

At the end of the day, I just want to punch a few furnace technicians in the trachea and jump kick a few truckloads of stock brokers into the freezing Atlantic.

UPDATE: “Frank the furnace technician” came to my house and replaced the gas valve on my furnace. Apparently, “this one ain’t workin’ so good.” Upon Frank leaving, I chased after him and said “hey Frank, I still smell gas. Get back in here and fix it.”

Frank replied: “that’s impossible. Nuttin’ is wrong with it. Call National Grid and have them checks its.”

So, after “Fuck Face Frank” left, I called National Grid and requested a gas leak inspection. Naturally, after the Nat Grid guy arrived and tested my furnace, THERE WAS A FUCKING GAS LEAK.

Much to my amazement, the brand new gas valve is faulty. Shit like this only happens to me. He had to turn off the gas to my furnace again.

Back to freezing.

At any rate, “Fuck Face Frank” is back on his way here to re-change the valve. I threatened those fuckers will stop payment and all sorts of other unkind actions.

UPDATE:
Frank informed me that “he won’t have that same valve until tomorrows.” Fucking faggot.

UPDATE: In what can only be described as a “Christmas miracle,” Fuck Face Frank found a valve!
Santa Frank is on his way now, ovah here.

UPDATE: Fuck Face Frank came with his lighter this time, trying to ignite the “alleged leak” around my furnace. Apparently, he believes I am doing this for fun. He changed the valve again. And, much to my chagrin, I still smell gas. WTF!!!

I will be forced to blow the fuck up, since I can’t deal with this shit anymore.

Story over.

You all need to stop watching the numbers coming out of China. They are made up by 5 guys in a room with a pencil and a direct link to the big boss who tells them what to write down. Nobody lies like the Chinese. The only thing as important as money is saving face. If their pants are on fire they will say they took a new Viagra and their dick is so hot it burst into flames. Chinese are lying sacks of shit.
I live in Thailand. Thai people are very nice, like to smile. Thai-Chinese, of course, lying sacks of shit. It’s genetic. The only way to tell what’s really going on in China is to monitor the number of riots. Look for rioting to gain momentum such that the government can not put a lid on the media reports. Then add to FXP with both hands.

Wow Fly you really have your finger on the life of a trader. I feel the same way. Being in the Northwest I am up most days at 4 to get ready for the day after hitting the bed at midnight. This carries over to the weekend as I am on a schedule now. I spend all weekend doing research looking for the next weak company to attack. I too can’t stand people especially since I am surrounded by a bunch of wacko liberals. Not that I am a big right winger but these people out here have a mental disease. And after shopping this weekend it makes me want to put a flying Jimmy Supper Fly Snuka elbow on almost everyone in my sight.
If we get another shitty rally this week I may strap on my 30-06 rifle and head to the north pole and take care of Santa and his fucking reindeer with quick sniper shots to the head. Fuck the so call Santa rally, Fuck the auto bailout, Fuck the banks, and fuck the mindless herd.

    Fly,

    Chivas makes an excellent point.

Also, your new BFF, “cool” Howard Lindzon, would happily throw a puppy in your furnace if he thought it would help him “monetize BTUs” or some such shit with a new social networking interwebs scam for retards who didn’t have enough sense to get their furnace checked before fucking winter hit full force Dr. Freeze-style.

(Hopefully the above gets you steamed and hot under the collar enough to ward off the chill until Joe the Furnace Plumber has time to bare his butt crack in the service of fixing your heater. You know that I’m always here to help you.)

    Happy Holidays, fuckface.

    Hey Fly,

Maybe you should just say FU to NY and move over here to Dubai where I’m at. Its a nice 75 degrees here at the moment and its 11p.m. With the way things are going you might be able to pick up a nice villa in the Palm at a 60% discount and hang out with Tigers Woods or Billy Clinton. Or maybe get an apartment on the Burj if they ever finish it. Any you and your family will be in my thoughts as I sleep in my nice comfy warm bed this evening.

By the way even if you change your writing style you will still be the Fly since its your socially incorrect bad attitude that makes you special.

Gee Bank of Japan, the economy is doing well ha?

(Bloomberg) — Sentiment among Japan’s largest manufacturers fell the most in 34 years, signaling companies are likely to cancel spending plans and cut more jobs, pushing the economy further into recession.

An index that measures confidence among large makers of cars and electronics dropped to minus 24 from minus 3, the Bank of Japan’s quarterly Tankan survey showed today, in line with economists’ estimates. A negative number means pessimists outnumber optimists.

The yen’s surge to a 13-year high last week has compounded woes for Japanese manufacturers who are already reeling from a collapse in export markets. Job cuts by companies including Sony Corp. and Toyota Motor Corp. have brought the recession home to households and increased the risk of a prolonged slump.

Three months too late those stupid retarded fuckers are now actually hinting at monetization….. ( late again) only after the economy is down the toilet.

Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) — The Bank of Japan may cut the benchmark interest rate further to show its commitment to countering a deepening recession and market turmoil, said Toshiro Muto, a former central bank deputy governor.

“A central bank has a role of influencing financial market sentiment and a rate cut is an option to show their determination” to support the economy, Muto, 65, said in an interview on Dec. 11. Still, “with the interest rate already so low, a further reduction would have only a limited impact.”

The central bank’s Tankan survey today showed confidence among large manufacturers fell the most in 34 years as a deepening global financial crisis crimped export demand, forcing companies to pare production and fire workers. The Bank of Japan trimmed the key overnight lending rate to 0.3 percent from 0.5 percent in October, its first cut in seven years.

Muto served as the central bank’s deputy chief for five years through March following his 37-year career at the Ministry of Finance. He was the government’s first choice for the central bank chief, only to be rejected by the opposition-controlled upper house, which said his stint at the Finance Ministry may hamper the bank’s independence.

Here’s a thought, don’t ever let a Japanese person educated at Tokyo university get near a central bank as they just don’t understand finance.

    Not true Dogwood.

Corruption is a function of the size and vested power of government. The more money the government takes in, the more laws and regulations there are the more corruption there is.

If you limit the functions of government to the bare minimum in the way the founding fathers intended there couldn’t be any corruption.

Doesn’t matter how big or small government is, if there is no accountability, usually in the form of competitive parties, then corruption will still exist. The stakes may be smaller, but the lack of accountability allows corruption to get a foot hold.

Granted, larger governments provide more opportunities, but the size of government itself does not eliminate or reduce corruption, accountability does.

Anyone think Prince Alaweed looks like that fucking guy from Blow? Stephanie Playboy looks like a dirty house slut. I hope she gets long a dick, fucking socialist.

In more important news, as soon as this fucking turd shaves his beard all over wall street on Tuesday I want to bulk up on TZA and other shorts. A rate cut will price in the lowest rates can possibly go without making money free. I think we can see a good downside sell off into the new year as long as that homo DEVILDOG doesn’t come out from hiding.

I’m not debating dogwood in the sense that he is totally wrong as he isn’t. Just like my point isn’t wrong either. If you take away the money that’s in the till there is nothing to steal. He seems to disagree with that. Furthermore there is lots of competition in the US political market. No one stops him from setting up a party so the market is relatively free from that perspective. He just mostly wrong and won’t admit it.

Now this would be hysterical if indeed it proves to be even 1/2 true.

    By Brian Love

PARIS (Reuters) – The credit crunch is not nearly as severe as the U.S. authorities appear to believe and public data actually suggest world credit markets are functioning remarkably well, a report released on Thursday says.

As a result, governments are pumping masses of public money into the economy across the world because of the difficulties of a few big, vocal banks and industries such as car manufacturing, which would be in difficulty anyway, according to the report published by Celent, a financial services consultancy.

“It’s just stabbing in the dark with trillions of dollars,” Octavio Marenzi, report author and head of Celent, told Reuters in a telephone interview where he questioned the depth of the analysis that preceded numerous fiscal stimulus packages.

The report, much of which is based on U.S. Federal Reserve data, challenges a long list of assumptions one by one, arguing that there is indeed a financial crisis but that, on aggregate, the problems of a few are by no means those of the many when it comes to obtaining credit.

“It is startling that many of (Federal Reserve) Chairman (Ben) Bernanke and (Treasury) Secretary (Henry) Paulson’s remarks are not supported or are flatly contradicted by the data provided by the very organizations they lead,” said the report.

Perhaps the U.S. central bank and treasury department, and authorities in other countries by extension, know something they are not telling anyone and which is far more worrying than the public data shows, the report says.

Or, more plausibly, they were generalizing erroneously from the bad experience of a limited number of big banks and companies that are in any case in difficulty.

“I don’t think they’re fabricating stuff but what I think they are doing is taking the situation of a handful of institutions and generalizing that to the market as a whole, incorrectly,” said Marenzi.

The picture appeared to be broadly similar in much of Europe and Japan, said the report, based on publicly available data on trends in bank lending to industry, households and among banks themselves in the so-called interbank markets.

    ALL A MYTH?

Regarding U.S. business access to credit, the report says:

*Overall U.S. bank lending is at its highest level ever and has grown during the current financial crisies.

*U.S. commercial bank lending is at record highs and growing particularly fast since May 2007.

*Corporate bond issuance has declined but increased commercial lending has compensated for this.

As for the interbank market, it says:

*lending hit its highest level ever in September 2008 and remained high in October and that overall interbank lending is up 22 percent since the start of the financial crisis, taken to be mid-2007.

*The cost of interbank lending, as measured by the interest rates banks charge each other for lending overnight Fed funds, dropped to its lowest level ever in early November and remains at very low levels.

Marenzi said one of the other measures used by many to gauge interbank lending — the LIBOR rate — was a flawed gauge since it was based on daily observations of eight banks, many of which were banks with particularly severe difficulties of their own.

The report argues similarly on consumer credit, which it said was at a record high in September, the latest date for publicly available data.

Local government bond issuance had continued at similar levels to those before the credit crisis, while bank lending for real estate reached a record level in October 2008, it says.

In Europe, the study says there is no evidence of a credit crisis in consumer and commercial lending data up to the end of October, with consumer lending in France and Italy still keeping to trends seen since early 2003 and Germany flatter but for many years and not any more so in recent times.

Bank lending in Britain, tracked from 1999 to October 2008, was at its highest level ever and continued uninterrupted through the credit crisis, the report says.

In Japan, banks began to increase lending activity in late 2005 after a long decline and there has been no sign of a precipitous decline through to October 2008, it said. “Indeed, no decline is visible at all since the credit crisis began.”

All of which drove the Celent report to conclude that the U.S. and other governments may be throwing good money after bad for want of a better idea of what is really happening.

“Just like a doctor contemplating an obviously sick and suffering patient, a massive surgical intervention based on a misdiagnosis can only worsen the patient’s condition.”

I keep telling you dudes. There is NO deflation.

    Last comment on politics.

    J,

The problem is you can’t take all the money out of politics without eliminating government.

Someone has to build roads, so the distribution of tax dollars for infrastructure provides an opportunity for corruption through the awarding of contracts. Even if we privatized the construction of major highways, and used tolls instead of gas tax revenue, the awarding of contracts is an opportunity for the ethically challenged.

Someone has to build weapons for the military, so the awarding of military contracts provides an opportunity for graft. Remember, Boeing and Pentagon officials went to prison for corruption involving the new aerial tankers even though defending the country is a core function of government.

Even if national defense was the only function of government, corrupt individuals would try to take advantage of the process for illicit personal gain.

I live 90 minutes from Chicago, even closer to my home is Lake County, Indiana, probably the single most corrupt county in my state. What do Lake County and Chicago have in common besides being neighbors? One party rule by officials who have no fear of ever being successfully challenged by a candidate from another political party.

Their sense of political invincibility leads them to do what they want to do when they want to because no one can or will hold them accountable, especially not the local police officials who depend on those power brokers for their very jobs.

Smaller government would help reduce the number of opportunities available for corruption, but a competitive political environment puts officials on notice that they may have to pay a price for their behavior.

Bottom line, more accountability results in a more ethical government, regardless of size.

You do have “accountability”, it’s called fraud and there well developed laws in the US in an attempt to prevent political corruption.

take a great deal of the money out of politics and you end up with less corruption.

Roads can built built at the local level or simply privatized.
