I’m a huge believer in regression to the mean. Oil was oversot at $140 now it is overdone at $45. This finds its way back to $75 in Q1.
For ERX to print $45 – all you need is a quick move back to $50-52/barrel. Not a stretch at all.
Natty gas is way overdone. the 10 day forecast has Canadian Clippers coming down the midwest and northeast. $6 will not last.

If oil goes to $10, who will be selling it? E&P’s are already shutting in and shutting down drilling projects until oil and nat gas come back up. Most have plenty of coin to sit on their stockpiles until prices return to normal.
Exxon is the last corporation that’ll be fucked. They played the commodity bubble perfectly by not chasing expensive projects. They learned their lessons from the 80’s.
The energy sector may be oversold in the near term but it will recover faster than other sectors.
