I was sitting here doing some thinking and looking around and noticed the DOW 30 now has an 86 handle once again, mind you I rarely look at the DOW or these other levels since they mean dick to me, price action in the names I am in pays or clown rapes. So I went to compare my portfolio to where I was when we last had this number a few weeks ago and realized I was a good 20% higher! Of course this could be attributed to a number of things but I think it bears mentioning that these levels should be checked to base performance every once in a while. Are you performing better or worse than the last time we were here? If worse then you need to change your entire strategy and if better then ask yourself why. I know it sounds elementary but sometimes when shit goes fucking wild we forget about these basic principles. Take a look tonight and adjust accordingly. Right now I am hedged 35% short and the rest long with about 10% cash. Most of my positions are paired but I did pick up V today at 51.50 and some Beaver at 10.95 out of sympathy for Fly. By the way you think BEAV is bad, take a look at TXT.
