We’re back into crash mode. The Obama rally is over and The PPT is spitting out a strong sell rating on market technicals.
With my money, I’ve bulked the fuck up on a variety of downside plays. Howsoever, I did not sell BE Aerospace, Inc. [[BEAV]] , much to your chagrin. The inherent point of having a hedge is to be both long and short. So, as I bank coin in [[EEV]] , [[FXP]] , [[REW]] and [[SDS]] , I lose a little in BE Aerospace, Inc. [[BEAV]] , [[UYG]] , [[M]] , [[AYG]] —just to name a few.
See fuckers, the markets fate is not decided in one afternoon. Who knows, maybe the market goose steps higher tomorrow, amidst some really bad news.
My point is: do not get caught up in the emotions of the market. You must have iced cold ice flowing through your heart, in order to do bodily harm to trader/servant and make buckets of coin in this market.
Thus far, my only disappointment is the absurd strength in Petrohawk Energy Corporation [[HK]] . It’s sort of poetic, actually.
On the souls of all of my ancestors and the very foundation of what the coal industry was based on, “The Fly” will have his way with Petrohawk Energy Corporation [[HK]] , much to you oil/gas lovers egregious, and erroneous, chagrin.

Time for me to send Obama a sweater and a copy of my “Malaise” speech.
“…do bodily hard to trader/servant…”
Somebody Freudian slipped on the “iced water” in his heart.
Is it April (Fools) and/or,,,,,Is this A Fuckn’ Joke?

NY Fed hires former Bear Stearns chief risk officer
NEW YORK, Nov 4 (Reuters) – The Federal Reserve Bank of New York has hired the former chief risk officer of Bear Stearns Cos, Michael Alix, to advise on bank supervision, according to a release in the Fed’s Web site.
Alix will serve as a senior advisor to William Rutledge in the Bank Supervision Group and his appointment is effective Nov. 3, according to the release dated Oct. 31
At Bear Stearns, an investment bank that collapsed in March and has become hallmark of the global credit crisis, Alix served as chief risk officer from 2006 to 2008 and global head of credit risk management from 1996 to 2006.
Before that, he spent eight years at Merrill Lynch & Company (MER.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz).

Can you please begin using a better picture, maybe Boozy The Clown?
You traderboys are all a bunch of hacks. HK has a ton of the best new natural gas acreage in USA. THey are the no. takeover pick in the biz.
You’re 60% up. Keep fucking around with these bets and you’re end up flat for the year. You’re best bet is to go home and let your wife slap your pussy ass around until january.
LOL@NaturalGas!!
You’re not serious, are you?
Seriously, natural gas? Good investment?
ROFL
^^^ Kindly STFU for a couple a decades, mmmkay Toobusytotrade?
Then go fuck a gay cactus shaped goat.
Thanks in advance!
I think you meant enronrous, chagrin .
Or is The Fly allowed to make up erronrous words?
I have snake eyes on JBLU.
My SMH trade sucked that’s for sure.
Some big bulldozer buying S.O.B. porked on MOS after the open, and ran the thing up in a -150 down market from $40 to $43.16 this morning, in about 30 minutes time.
Why would somebody buy all their shares like that, and step into a position? The stock went nearly straight up, and was quite harrowing to watch being short.
Anyway, it’s back down in the $39’s, working it’s way back up.
This must be a definite “Obama Bull Play)…..big boys buying in.
good call
This is gold.
_____
Ok the only reason I can think for the Index charts being the exact same is the large amount of ETF’s being traded. It may pay to look for the worst stock in a good ETF or at least dont’t short the worst stock in a good ETF.
MOS represents more pot and phosphate for the goat herders in Kenya. That’s the Obama play?
As the new leader of the free world, I declare that my rally is not over. Not by any stretch of your cracka-ass imagination.
I have summoned my inherent spiritual and natural powers to cause the markets to melt up. Just so that I may “spread the wealth”.
Prepare to be debanked by my egregious tax policy. I also claim “egregious” as my own device now. You are herewith put on notice.
“Change” is good.
p.s. since when did I start smoking?

Position in CHK
More on Chesapeake
As a follow up to Terry’s buzz on Chesapeake (CHK), call options are flying in volume and volatility as chatter rises that British Petroleum (BP) may be making a run at it.

The Fly & Tim Knight on the same page, again.
fly, careful with BEAV, unless you were in a time machine or are planning some space alien magistry.

BA is on the unusual option activity for people buying large amounts of OTM puts. Someone might know something
Hedges back on…
Wow I love it when my biggest position explodes 17% higher. Now we just need this buyout talk to materialize in the PM and this shit be taken out at 40.
Viva HK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fuck, Michael Crichton died.
Shut up. It’s riding on CHK’s ass.
Light volume bullshit. Sell now or die later.
C getting the homo hammer.
Yeah, I just heard that Crichton died… at 66.
Crap, did Al Gore sit on him, or sumpin’?
_______
S & P 900 here we come
Gappy- $40 is too cheap…but I’ll take it.
Michael Crichton: R.I.P.
Many of his future history novels have medical or scientific underpinnings, reflecting his medical training and science background. He was the author of The Andromeda Strain, Congo, Disclosure, Timeline, State of Fear, Prey, and Next. He was also the creator of ER, but most famous for being the author of Jurassic Park, and its sequel The Lost World, both adapted into high grossing films and leading to the very successful franchise.
HK doin’ a “Heckler and Koch” on someone’s ass.
Someone that is short, I mean.
____
Last I checked, HK is DOWN asshat.
Mind you, when short, one would like the stock to go down.
Thank you.
-Management
Why does this feel like we might go re-test the lows on the Dow?
What is going be the catalyst to take it higher?
It feels rather negative to me.
There are no jobs in the U.S. to pay back all this money through taxes, I know that.
Talk to anyone who tried to get a decent job lately?
Politically, Crichton made you look like a cap-wearing ChiCom, Ginty. The closest he and Gore ever got were awkward moments on the tarmac waiting for their private jets to be refueled.
But Al is about one beignet away from generating his own gravity.
I know 40 is too cheap but the premium is the key to them on the offer. 65% premium is pretty good though. Personally I think we see 20 again before 40 but hey what do I know. Its a long term hold for me either way.
thanks for the heads up on the murder holes.
Ah, patience pays off …
Dipped my toe into the CBL waters @ $7.75 …. Thanks Jake!
Getting the heebie CeeBies here … looking at CBS now … both for the IRA f course.
Fly,
Are you holding your FXP for a particular target price, or just as a hedge you’ll hold as long as you’re long some of your longs?
Geez, I’m right again. This is getting boring. Once again Jake called me an idiot and I was proven right.
FXP to $100
STFU Mr. Eb
Quit trying to steal my thunder. I was right. You are simply trying to ride my coat tails.
Thanks.
Definitely NOT The New York Review of Books material.
But funny, really funny.
___________
Anton — Read “State of Fear” and you’ll know why Al Blimp would want to sit on Crichton (for the good of the sheeple, of course).
That was my point.
__________
FLY:
I loved the EEV ultra long – I bought it yesterday after it closed down 17%…
it hadn’t been that low since JULY 2008…
it had been at these levels in 2007 before financials really blew up.
WHAT A GREAT ENTRY POINT… This morning I sold some EEV to buy some FXP because FXP was only up 2% while EEV was up 11%.
I made egregious profits by double dipping. It’d be silly to sell these ultra shorts over the mid-term.
Meredith Whitney is hot for an over 30.
I know, Jake. I just wanted to say, “…a donut shy of generating his own gravity.”
State of Fear was a bit strident, no?
Hey, have you been buying CBL today? I sold half my position at 9.50, then added today at 8.50 & 7.75.
HK is bad. fly wins.
Great movie lines in history:
“You expect me to talk? No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!”
Mind you, when short, one would like the stock to go down.
Fuck! I gotta start writing these things down, dammit.

CBL suffering from racial profiling and casual association w/GGP.
Employee 8
Did you short CBL? or go long?
I own CBL at $6.80 through $10 and added more at $8.30 today.
Craziness.
_______
James Bond: Do you expect me to talk?
Auric Goldfinger: No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die.
ballsy.
for f*cks sakes!
you f*ckers haven’t got a clue about charts!
Fly! I pointed out to you weeks ago about the National Oil Varco P.o.s. and I described the chart layout giving you accurate signals.
The same chart format does the same shit for all markets!
fucccccccccckkkkkkkkkk!
It does what it says on the tin.
You read it here first, the DOW will wack 9800 by Friday (this week!).
OK!
Mike…
EEV is fucking pole-vaulting the market today.
i can’t wait for the employment numbers. they’ve only just begun to drop.
is CBL any good? what is interesting about it?
This market’s like the good old days of October.
is CBL any good? what is interesting about it?,
I was just looking at it…Price to cash flow of 1-2, dividend of 25% (though I think they cut it). 10% short interest. Retail malls…hmmmm.
can you say bankruptcy?
Yeah, $6B in debt.
What about the preferreds, Jake? CBL-PD CBL-PC
WTF is up with Ritholez closing his comments? I enjoyed tweaking the titwillows there. Long live Fly and his comments section.
BSC … Went long CBL … figure they survive if able to rollover debt at a lower rate or they go private … risk/reward play
Ritholtz hasn’t closed his comments. He’s moved them to his new site. For now, he is dual-posting on both sites.
RE: CBL
I own the Preferred D’s as well.
It’s all good.
Fuck off, dipshitz. The management will take the company private at these levels.
These are good people.
_______
E8 is correct!
About CBL.

I’m sure many tire of hearing this but……
