If the 2002/2008 analogy holds, we could see a move in the S&P 500 to between 1,150 and 1,200 by mid November. (Most retracements from this sort of graph seem to move in that magnitude and take four to five weeks.)

CMAT – I use Bloomberg in the AM. Just search the site for libor and ted spread. You can’t find the symbols in their symbol lookup.

The pounding in commodities continues. The COT reports have shown nonstop liquidation of longs by index funds over the past few months and right now that trend is your friend.
While we’re due for a bounce in crude and natural gas, I’d say $40-50 oil and sub-$5 natural gas could be in the cards (perhaps by January) unless the credit markets unfreeze
