Raising rates will accelerate bank death, and is the worst thing to do in a deflation. The dollar will strengthen on it’s own when the velocity of $ drops down to fuckall.
The only thing that can mitigate this deflation is a spike in commodities, for example – hoarding in advance of a war.
The dollar’s still fucked in either case, until people start saving it.
