Everything is getting the “homo-hammer” of death, except RIMM and AAPL—bull market favorites.
Here’s my take:
Watch those two stocks closely, because if they start breaking down, the Naz is going to “shit the shower,” in a very bad way.
Furthermore, if you’re bearish, it makes sense to sell them short here, for a trade.
If you’re long, like me, go eat a sandwich—then take a nap or sell everything
Either scenario is perfectly acceptable.
NOTE: Should the market go up from here, I suspect both AAPL and RIMM will offer leadership.

Do you consider MVIS to be tied to the market ups and downs? Ie. should I follow the nas to see where MVIS is heading?

AAPL has some support from the approach of the Macworld 2008 keynote by Jobs (Jan 15, I believe).
Investors would hate to miss out on “the next big thing”. I haven’t been following the rumor sites, but I would think that AAPL still has its hands full with the iPhone.

It’s definitely too early to rally from here until the end of the day… however, if we can manage to hold the lows and base for the next few hours, perhaps we get a nice rally into the close and an up morning for the futures tomorrow.

Then next week we get completely “poleaxed,” to borrow one of “the Fly’s” favorite words.

Yeah, I agree Juice. The bears are in control. I think we’ll get a large squeeze or two into the end of the year and I definitely think we should use those opportunities to get smartly short for the Great Bear Market of 2008.
