THE TROLLS HAVE SPOKEN

Breadth is not of this world this morning. The average $TICK reading up to this point in the day is -500. You’d have to go back to 08 to find anything similar to this.

All for a 1% decline.

Going into next week, the response to this is what matters most. Either your sideline community that has been waiting for a dip responds and buys, or else this now becomes another failed high, and volatility circles back into the market.

Bulls are on the clock here, and I doubt they do anything here today.

INSIDE AHWOA

For those that haven’t participated in After Hours with Option Addict, here’s an example of what we do for a quick hour block after market close.

We spend a few minutes of analysis on most asset classes…equities, commodities, rates, etc. The onto a few trade ideas for the upcoming day based on market movement and rotations each day.

Any questions, drop me a line. Here’s a look at today’s session.

OA BUY: BLOX

Long March 25 calls for a quickie here. If this stock can trade through $25, there is some great structure overhead.

If you don’t like the short dated options, the stock is an easy trade to manage here with a target of $28.

OA BUY: SCTY

With my long term position in $VSLR making noise, how do you not buy $SCTY calls this morning with the stock sitting at $50?

We did. This was our top pick in After Hours with Option Addict last night. Mar 51 calls at $1.34 at the open.

BIOSQUEEZE

It’s safe to say that the small and micro cap names in biotech are steadily outperforming the group as of late. The trend in risk appetite has grown in this sector, and it seems that the best returns are in less quality names.

Start looking over the following names, which are high short interest stocks in this space that haven’t yet participated in this trend. These stocks may be up a bit since Jan 1, but most are what I would consider to have not participated yet. Short interest is greater than 15%.

ANOTHER RUSSELL DIVERGENCE

Off the opening drive to the downside this morning, the indices reached a point where the Russell no longer confirmed downside.

NQOpenIn trending grind mode conditions like this, this is about as good of a dip buy indicator as you can get on the intra-day time frame.

Other than that, stocks are taking their sweet ass time to move at all today.

I am watching $N for a possible April call play. Got anything on your radar?
