The TAN is sporting a pretty good correlation to all things wrong with the market right now. However, some individual components of the TAN are looking pretty good right here.
SPWR has managed to stay within a breath of 52 week highs. SUNE, my second favorite stock in the space, has found some decent footing here at $16. Last but not least, FSLR, for those of you asking where to add or where to initiate….a move to $60 is where I want to add some calls to go with my stock position.

What say you of the refiners: ALJ, WNR, VLO…to a lesser extent TSO. pulling back, would you be a buyer at the bottom of their channels? ALJ, VLO easier to read for the channel up, where you easily know if you’re wrong and exit accordingly.
I’m going to short crude and am shopping for a refiner.
If you’re a believer is boosted divvies as a good sign, look into PSX – just raised theirs about 25%

CXO looks great on refining side, but don’t think options provide a great R/R unless you go longer dated. I’m definitely considering doing that. Short term options are just killing me.
Inflated premiums in short dated paper melt the fastest.
OA, I fully understand you’re interested in the stronger names right now – for good reason. Jules pointed out yesterday that the new PPT Fair Price Target tool shows a few solars that are quite a bit under target. SOL & JASO are two of them, and on a higher time frame, look to me as though they haven’t left Aversion yet. With all we’ve been through, it’s hard to wade into them now, but I do find them of interest, and have them on watch…
btw, I absolutely love the idea of playing FSLR at 60!

Remember, I’m the smart ass that buys end of day on a down day and sells the next day, win lose or draw. Wednesday was tempting but I held back just to see what would happen. I’m willing to let it cook for a while. 3-0 for the year. But these are just tactics, my strategy is to have money banked for a correction.

very bullish close. Looks good for next week. Long the market short oil will be my focus.
Closed HUM May 115 calls that I held 1 month for 85% gain. Best trade I’ve had in awhile, but still not enough to overcome some of the losers I’ve had…including an ONVO May 10 call that I rode down over a long time (lesson learned). So, I have no guilt over selling HUM position today with 1 week to go till expiration. Cheers to the freakin’ weekend, I’ll drink to that.
I added Z May 100 calls for $2.20 into the close. At the very least I think it rallies to start forming the second shoulder of a H&S. I’m in for a quick rally to $105, sell half, and let the other half roll…all protected by May IWM 105 puts just incase we do flush. Maybe I’m insane, but I had to get long something into that close.
Bailed on ECTE too, in addition to CORT, CNDO and DNDN. Unreal carnage glad I kept them small.
