Well, he bought 5’s (at/in the money) not 7’s so, not in the same boat as you. You have a lot farther to go with a short time to get there. You should be pretty well in the hole if you bought a few weeks ago. IMO, write those off and start a new position.
Got some WLT Dec 15 calls. Early xmas shopping today.

I shamelessly followed on the Jan 5s. I’ve been many a time on options. Just not nimble enough thought i would see what happens here. I do like the BALT set up though looking for a big move to the upside also have the 5s of Jan on BALT
trading options just distorts time compared to regular stock traders. Like crack vs. coke. Stock traders sniff a nice clean line, while us option traders are breaking out the spoons and lighters.

Falling wedges are boolish as hell. We’ve traded these, as a group dozens of times this year. I’m surprised you aren’t more excited about this. But then again, the best trades are the ones that are uncomfortable.
I think “extreme bearishness” describes the sentiment, not our outlook for the stock

If you had to choose today (on a dip) – TWTR or Z ?
aapl weeklies went from great to god like today. I hate aapl. Have it charted and on watch yet i still miss most of the moves in that name.
AAPL is a vicious mistress. I generally put on one weekly trade a week for her. Last week when it was having a good run got into a weekly on Thursday, then the sucker pinned on me at 520.
Most money I’ve made was when it was stale in the 470’s and I was butterfly trading with like a 4 to 1 return – generally made about $600 per contract for about 5 weeks.
Overall though, win/loss rate for me is about 60-40 and with AAPL, there is no such thing as “small” losses.
Also Matt, consider putting PXD on your watchlist – it trades much more consistently with OA style setups, and has the proven ability to rise (and fall) 15-20 points at a time. The difference being you can use a chart to see what it’s gonna do, unlike AAPL where sentiment and black helicopter folks are in charge.
Was there a Vimeo recording last night? I loaded the go to meeting recorded webinar and there was audio but no video. Have you gotten too busy to post a written summary or did I overlook it?
My machine shut off while the recording was rendering. It made it so that the recording cannot be recognized with Vimeo. The recap of yesterday was just a rundown of this social media stock set-up.

I don’t understand this trade. Not trying to be negative, just trying to understand. Assuming it can hit 52 week highs by the 5th (a week from Friday), the risk/reward is only about 2 to 1. Or are you buying ITM options for $3.00 ?

If anyone is interested in the IBM short idea, now is the time for entry – close to day highs. 170’s @ .40, 175’s at about a buck. Just swing trading this on daily variance would yield about $60/contract on the 175’s.

Nice look in YGE. I didn’t get out of SPWR and SOL trades as you did previously OA. At this point would you be more interested in holding as they appear to be recovering somewhat or sell and reallocate to YGE in the solar space?
