first of all, every one needs to get rid of their non stick pots and pans to just begin to think about health…….anyone that uses a non stick pan no matter how healthy they think they can cook, is a kooke
sorry, but you cant cook real rice pilaf with olive oil.
You could always use a light olive oil if you were fanatical. It shouldn’t add too much flavor. We use extra virgin olive oil (different brands and countries) and canola (even though it’s all GMO) for everything that requires a light touch.
thats just it, i’m not fanatical.i keep canola, corn, and use nothing but extra virgin olive oil when i cook.i keep loads of butter also. saute vegs in butter and olive oil is how i usually go. alot of the old world recipe’s i use call for melted salted butter, and then removing said salt.
ive been using the nuwave oven, it taste like fried. it uses the natural oil in the food to coat, the rest falls to the bottom.
