    Actually any increase in millisieverts is not cause for concern as the article alleges because background radiation is not constant. It’s all about ANOVA.

    450 millisieverts over several days is Jack shit. That’s not much different than me adding up every sievert of radiation you’ve ever encountered in your lifetime, showing you it’s greater than 10 S and then telling you you’re going to die.

    Their time range is smaller but it’s an equivalent act. That’s what you do when you’re irrationally afraid of something.

    Plus cancer isn’t a foregone conclusion. Cell death is the most probable outcome, at which point most people exposed to radiation have already faced the worst of it. Unless your neighbors were getting sick you probably have nothing to fear.
