“Credible” means dealing with facts and logical analyses, not spouting long refuted maxims and diseconomic emotives.

You are a mental pygmy. The facts are that benefits have been curtailed for many decades.
Pensions have shifted to 401ks where most corporations contribute little or nothing.
Fact is most corporations have curtailed health benefits.
Fact is wall st did peddle toxic investments to pension plans.
Fact is that recently many states and municipalities have been underfunded and have sought to reduce and in some cases eliminate pensions all together.
Fact is your blind to what you do not want to see…especially when it does not align with your belief structure.
Your first sentence is incorrect, but you hit the target with the last.
