For the record, it’s about time we got back to having intelligent corporate raiders sacking lazy, do nothing boards of directors who are holed up in their comfortable “annuity-for-life” jobs like castle keeps and it’s the Hundred Years War.
Who the hell thought it was a good idea to let the CEO compete directly against his own company?
Best wishes to mister Icahn, as he persists in kicking ass and taking names.

Love the title. Loving this move.
It amazes me that after all these years Icahn can still do what he does. He really only ever does one thing, yet apparently there are so many incompetent businessmen out there that he has to be compensated an obscene amount of money for doing one task over and over again. You’d think this would be “arbitraged out” so to speak as management realizes the bare minimum they have to do to keep someone like Icahn away.
I feel the same way about private equity funds that only ever do leveraged buyouts.
Meh, it’s a big world. There’s bound to always be a piece of shit somewhere.
well said.
McClendon is a piece of shit, and needs to be put in prison for his part in inflating the price of natural gas to unheard of levels last decade.
May he rot in hell. Greedy is not a strong enough term for the man.
