The truth is, both plans seek to destroy whatever is left of the middle class. The issue of health insurance will not be resolved until the healthcare insurance and drug companies get hit with caps on their profit margins. This is a very reasonable proposition. Why should you subsidize for someone’s designer drugs at $10,000 per pill, when the god damned thing costs $5 to make?
I realize there are ancillary expenses that go into developing a drug. But anyone with the ability to read a balance sheet can see the immense amount of free cash flow and idle cash in the banks of big pharma as being excessive — when juxtaposed against the dystopian backdrop of our present healthcare system.
All I hear are cries about not wanting to pay for fat people and those without the resources to afford health insurance. However, where is the fucking outrage for the god damned pilfering being done by the healthcare industry? Every other nation in the world has caps on drug prices, but us. How in the fuck is that possible and who is responsible for this?

Why is there only 1 price for healthcare when there are so many different qualities of care that you get? For instance, if I get my hair cut from an “awesome and amazing” stylist then I will pay a lot. If I get my hair cut from my local mexicans then I pay around $10. In healthcare I can go to a shitty, federally qualified healthcare clinic or I can go to the clinic that gives me a small glass of Champagne when I take my seat. The amazing part is both clinics charge insurance the SAME FUCKING AMOUNT. Yet if I pay cash then the price disparity is enormous.
Before I had insurance I used to pay the cash price for things. For a specific procedure I used to pay around $150 cash for it. For the same procedure once I got company provided insurance I paid $1900 plus some gay co-pay. I finally said fuck this shit and just pay the cash price now as its cheaper than the deductible + co-pay. How does this shit happen?
