Strange things have been happening the past few years.
Black swan errors have been taking place on a regular basis — such as the wrong crowning of Miss Universe, an egregious error in the announcement of the best movie of the year — an unbelievable super bowl victory by the New England Patriots and a stock market that goes up on any news.
Set aside the fact that a reality, shit posting, teevee star is now our President, tweeting all day long, casting aspersions at his many enemies — the god damned spelling of the Berenstein Bears has been altered, forever.
I did a poll last night about the spelling of the Berenstein Bears and 75% of you said it ended with ‘stein’ — yet that spelling is, inexorably, wrong.

It’s called the ‘Mandela Effect‘ and we’re all part of it. The timeline in the multiverse has been changed and the matrix is now being controlled by a prankster, someone fucking around with things to see how we deal with it.
Or, we’re all gone mad.
The idea that we’re living through an indiscernible simulation is looking increasingly plausible.

The theory says if this is a different timeline, all of the books would’ve been altered to reflect new reality, rendering your ‘proof’ meaningless.

In the old universe I was in, top ten singer Laura Branigan died from a brain aneurism in the 90’s. I’m sure of it. Looked her up recently and in this universe it was 2004. I knew a decade earlier. Other than that, I have no other metaphysical experiences.

Well, I’m one of those who voted “stein” – and I am neither crazy nor living in an an alternative universe. I am right. I’m sure of it. Everyone else is crazy and in a different dimension. Not me. The only thing that makes me question this is that it sure seems like someone controls every stock I buy to go down immediately. As if to see how much it takes to drive me crazy.

The best “evidence” that “reality changed” aside from personal memories you may have is there is often second hand material referring to the “old reality”… allegedly. For example, there is a “making of Forrest Gump” where it says Life Is Like a Box of chocolate but the movie itself says “Life Was” like a box of chocolate and if you compare the making of to the original it is a different scene. Although I remember Life IS, it could just be a different take that was not used and the way the brain works could be flawed, so it is not technically “proof”.
Another example is James Earl Jones recalling when he got the line “Luke, I am your father” and also in an interview telling a redneck joke of “Luke I am your father… and your uncle” and also action figures saying the phrase Luke I am your father despite all records of the movie itself saying the line “No, I am your father.”
Another example is the domain registrar for LooneyToons.com. Some people remember LooneyToons instead of what reality is…. LooneyTunes. However, LooneyToons.com was registered a full 2 years before LooneyTunes.com by the same company. Buying a domain name of a misspelling makes sense, but not 2 years before unless some intern messed up big time and no one working at the company even knew.
There is a slightly more rational explaination that the human mind rewrites memory every time it accesses it and common ways of processing would allow many to arrive at the same false conclusion and confirmation bias causes us all to hallucinate collectively… There are even examples of this where someone walks into the room and steals something in front of everyone and they’re all asked to describe the their 10 minutes later and they all recall totally different experiences and many of them have shared hallucinations based upon what someone else suggests. But even that means the world is far less rational than most of us think. The ego just likes to think the world is easily understood.
But parallel dimensions due to CERN merging realities and time traveling presidents and Matrix is a way more fun explaination.
Also, simply believing in this supposedly more rational explaination has a problem itself in that we can never know there isn’t a larger bias or that reality itself is an illusion… because while science can tell us about known biases, the human mind’s perceptions are responsible for our experiences so there may be far more bias than even cognitive science can tell us, which means reality could be more like a desktop/user interface where icons are representing other things are experienced as reality, but the real reality could be more like zeros and ones… and apparently if that is the case, anything could happen.
Here’s a TED talk by Donald Hoffman who has ran simulations himself and game theory and concluded that the ability to perceive reality accurately will or has gone extinct in favor of fitness. In other words, reality is a “user interface” for other things it corresponds to. Or perhaps some of his assumptions made in his simulations are wrong.

Doesn’t matter really. One theory is humans would be in control after a post human phase but as the matrix movie and countless other PKD like stuff is the fact that we did infact create AI and the computers are controlling us. Wouldn’t that sort of explain why we don’t even know why what we think. Should we not understand what we truly think? Is it an accident that anomalies such as Einstein and others randomly join the crowd? We only use 3 percent of our brain? The fastest computer on the planet made by one such IBM is the equivalent of every person on the planet doing 12,000 calculations in their head at once. Musk says we are capable of 1.25 bits per seconds. Yet we are just on off switches. in the big computer. Only capable of Yes / No Decisions.
Yes simulation. Only in a simulation is snap and thefacebook worth 450 billions. When my door asks me to watch an ad or enter a coin before it lets me in it will be confirmed. So what is the next big advertising platform? Maybe something to advertise to people with no money? Its all coming unglued. Its like a real life Truman show but people actually want to be the show.
