Heavy Construction, Engineering Stocks Lead the Way in Celebration of the Prospective Southern Border Wall

Before I get into stocks, here’s a question for you. Let’s say we build a border wall and spend $10b doing it. Would it be plausible for the next President, possibly a democrat, to the tear it down as one of his campaign pledges? I can totally see demotards rallying behind something as studpid as that.

After all, the wall would be keeping illegals out. If we tore the fucker down it would only guarantee illegal entry into this country.

On the news that Trump is going to start building the wall, construction and engineering stocks are lifting off. There are the obvious winners, like steel, Zinc, and $CAT; but, rest assured, there will be many other winners, plenty that aren’t being priced in yet.

Why don’t you manlets prove your worth here every once in awhile and offer some sound feedback on the stocks I’m about to feature below.

I know most of you fuckers just want to lazily look at charts and play Marvin the Mind Reader, pretending that you have some special intuitive gift. The moment you accept that you’re not special and need to work hard in order to succeed is when you’ll find your path to success.

Construction equities aside and they boom that’s occurring aside… isn’t building a wall simply about perception? Do you really think building a physical wall is going to stop illegal immigration? I’ve read several accounts of border walls being defeated simply by constructing a tunnel underneath (hello, Sinaloa drug cartel). Building a wall creates nothing but a false sense of security and it’s a waste of money.

If Trump was really interested in curbing illegal immigration he would advocate for Congress passing laws which punish companies and their leadership who hire undocumented persons. Constrict the demand for undocumented workers and let the market forces take care of the rest. Isn’t that we advocate for anyway? A market based solution?

Sadly, there’s no glitz in advocating smart policy.

Where would the “TRUMP WALL” sign go if he took a market based approach?

Nail on the head, but you think too rational! People don’t truly give a flying fuck. Stop supporting companies that hire illegals. Fine the fucking companies that hire illegals. Grow your own produce if you have such a problem with it. Otherwise, you’re the problem and should shut up.

The company I own does work for the CAT foundry in Mapleton, IL. While CATs stock price has appreciated significantly in the last year, I can assure you the amount of iron coming out of that foundry, has not. It’s only a matter of time until the stock price returns to some form of reality. Will it come with tomorrows “Shit still sucks for us” report or at a later date?

Why did the Mexican cross the wall? Because he had a ladder. And his buddy Juan went through the tunnel for free he just had to mule a gram of coke in return. What a junevile idea this wall is. Not to mention the fact that the majority of aliens didn’t come in waking from Mexico. If the wall is ever completed (doubtful), it will be a joke in the history books when the data shows that it did nothing to stop immigrants.

Btw maintenance on a wall like this costs a fortune.

The stock market isn’t hard work – buy SPY, BRK.B, AAPL, GOOGL, FB and let it ride at a long term 15% tax rate. No trader can beat that.

Zinc play.. Lundin mining $LUNMF. selling its stake in the jointly owned (with Freeport) Tenke copper mine. Good zinc assets and will have strong balance sheet for acquisitions.

The wall is an incredibly stupid idea. Reinforce security at ports. Address the backlog in the judicial system for asylum hearings. Give border patrol agents raises. All of those are better solutions.

Construction stocks seem like a short term ride at best.

Trump will soon go in big on CYBER-SECURITY
Which will become a much broader investment in all aspects of commerce, from media to government. Cyber-security investors will be rewarded big over the next 2+years.

Trump today: “This is border security. We’ve been talking about this from the beginning. This is going to bring it over the top,” ”

What a loser, the only think going over the top is Mexicans over the top of his wall.

You know… we need those people here. On the big dairy farms in my area, all the grunt work is performed by Mexican, Guatemalan laborers, most of whom are legal.
The dairy guys pay em pretty decent wages so there’s no UUUGE labor savings… so why do they hire these folks? Because they show up for work on time and they work hard when they are on the job.
They can’t find “made in USA” type help that will work as hard and be as reliable as the imports. The young millennial types all think they belong in an office knocking down $70-80-100,000 plus. Just because.
This is why a large percentage of them still live in dad and mom’s basement.
I was talking with the owner of a local fabrication company ( just landed a nice DOD contract for aluminum pontoon bridges) and he told me they are now keeping only 1 out of every 17 hired. The rest self destruct by not showing up on time, showing up drunk or stoned, don’t have reliable transportation or else fail to actually possess the skill set claimed.

The short guys with the perpetual tans work their assess off because they know how much better life is here than back home.

PS: did you know Mexico has a wall between it and Guatemala being built as we speak?
