This strategy :

Every morning, during my ritualistic cup of Early Gray tea (honey with milk, never sugar), I’d open the portal to my brokerage account– and when the market opened– I’d sell short shares of VXX. I did this every day until I was 47.5 years old and made billions of dollars doing it.

by my calculation has returned +120% since August 3rd, with no drawdowns.

I wish I’d realized you weren’t joking.

Hey Mr. Moolahheaven it’s not just you;
Three of the state’s (Kansas) top elected Republicans on Thursday determined they lacked sufficient evidence of President Barack Obama’s birth records to decide whether to remove the Democratic nominee from the November ballot in Kansas.

The State Objections Board comprised of Secretary of State Kris Kobach, Attorney General Derek Schmidt and Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer postponed until Monday action on a complaint filed by a Manhattan resident pending review of a copy of Obama’s birth certificate from Hawaii.

“I don’t think it’s a frivolous objection,” Kobach said. “I do think the factual record could be supplemented.”

Requests were to be sent to officials in Hawaii, Arizona and Mississippi in an attempt to secure copies of the president’s birth records.

Storytime, part III:
Not sure where I left off, so a quick recap. Searching for an antique watch to replace the convenience of time-checks on the cell phone which no longer rings or crunches data, based on the fact that it broke, and having been searching for such a device for literally years, I grabbed the first pretty one I found–a quaint little “Illinois” branded time piece dating back to Abraham Lincoln’s campaign financers, turned out. Great! It had a history, and so I assumed it had value, until I found it stopped working when the big hand hit the eight, every hour, on the hour; it stopped there and also it had some issues tick-tocking after being wound. I took the worthless piece of 1920s junk back. The crystal was chipped anyway, though with these old watches this is an easy fix—just replace it, but that would bring up the repair charges and someone found me a comparable watch, in perfect condition, for the same price as what I paid for the first. It’s still shiny, doesn’t really have that antique look, but I will not reveal the name of the watch company for privacy reasons. I did no research on this new watch, to maintain an element of surprise, or because I do not trust any Google searches I make online not to be pilfered by Data Mining greedy assholes. At any rate, the handsome face of this watch drew me in, despite the omitted 6 at the base of it to make room for another time-keeping feature. I am deducing that it is of a conservative background, just going by the outlined crest engraving on the back where, obviously, you can have your family’s crest etched in, which makes more sense than initials if you want to pass it down to a family member, but I digress. Also, I will add that it does have a more masculine look to it than the previous find, but, alas, I like it. Best part is that it works. Whatever–It keeps the time, never misses a tick or a tock, and it’s specially designed for right-handers, of which I happen to be, so it works for me.
