Daniel Son, Eat Sandwich

I have no interest in chasing this rally, aside form my Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR: 92.65 +0.31%) purchase. So you understand where I am coming from, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR: 92.65 +0.31%) is the Apple Inc. (AAPL: 226.60 +0.49%) of coffee.

All in all, it was a great week for the bulls—and at the same time—a horrific one for the bears dressed in potato sack-like burlap bags.

Into the bell, I was rich. After the bell, I am still rich.

Any questions?

Top picks: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR: 92.65 +0.31%) , W.W. Grainger, Inc. (GWW: 107.83 -0.77%) and (ENTR: 4.41 +4.50%)

NOTE: Flotek Industries, Inc. (FTK: 1.45 +3.61%) posts earnings next week, Tuesday. God speed.

NOTE II: For you Hugh Hendry lovers, ZH has his latest market letter to his partners.

great link, Artist. My mother grew up in Gering, Nebraska at that time.

My grandfather was a potato farmer who emigrated from Russia/Germany in the late 1930’s. Times were tough indeud, and my mother had many clothes made from flour sacks. She rode a horse to high school, and when the snow was deep, she was transported to school on the family’s trusty Farmall tractor. I shit you not.

Feed sacks were very popular for dressmaking, and in fact, many of the different brands would appeal to the woman of the house with various patterns. The fabric is in no way rough or anything like burlap. My wife still uses feed sack cloth from the 1930s to make vintage dresses today.

  6. DEVILDOG says:

I’m shorting GMCR again on Monday.

    • sailorboy says:

so you short gmcr on monday and it happens to go down. when do you cover? you gonna call that bottom better than the fly (and scads of others) who will undoubtedly buy more? good luck. help yourself out and look what sales did across the end of the world last year - this thing is not going to zero and therefore is more likely to go back to 75 than 50.

    • j says:

Yea, but with what money? Please, please don’t use the credit card… then again please do.

Dog… how’s FAZ “working for ya?”

      • JakeGint says:

        Exactly.

Where’s his capital coming from? Did he knock off a jewelry store with a gun carved from a bar of soap?

You have less than zero credibility, Licking-your-wounded-paws-Dawg.

Wow, look who is back acting like a filet moron. I hope for the sake of mankind you found Carmen Sandiego while you were gone.

Earlier in the year I eluded to what I called the reverse head and shoulders pattern associated with a non-cataclysmic bear market. Naturally I posed the question of when the second reverse shoulder would take place, but the truth is I already knew the answer for myself. Due to that cognizance, I chose to accumulate as much as I possibly could throughout the year in a very diversified sort of way, with a heavier weighting on the more reliable sectors and a clear understanding that the S&P bottomed at 666.76 for an intraday low. I must admit that low was odd numerically. But if you understand the fanatical stupidity behind it, it makes absolute sense. It was from that low that I rose up and my presence began. It is the pivotal value of my existence in this market.

You see, if you don’t understand who the winners will be in a given market move first, then it won’t be you.

mrkcbill is anxious for Black Friday to arrive - he plans his usual 6 am position outside Walmart.

    • kaputer says:

He is going to lose big time again. Walmart would stay open overnight to avoid stampede in the morning, so anything good would be wiped out by 6am.

  10. DEVILDOG says:

I’ll cover GMCR at around $15. BTW, great news for you BULLS. My new bottom for the S&P has been INCREASED from 150 to 200. Have a great weekend!

  11. j says:

    Moe

    Are you still short GE?

  12. Mr. President says:

You just know that some of these blokes were shorting AAPL at $85.

  13. mrsbuttons says:

just curious why the late entry to get into GMCR? It’s been a star for awhile - did the PPT not notice? It was on my watch last year - got some on the crash, then was blessed to find DDRX which made GMCR look catatonic…GMCR is a good play but its NO AAPL! I used to own a coffee store in Wash DC back in the 80’s… for my money there is no substitute for high mountain jamaican.

  14. Mon, we smoka duh weed high in duh mountains. Hows bout duh precioua metals? You be in? Duh dawg is gonna short Monday? Looks like Thursday was duh day, no? Dat dawg always beez a day late.

  15. DEVILDOG says:

Hey jaimacan maybe if you spent less time with the weed and learn to read you would have noticed I said AGAIN. I did short on Thursday. Toke away.

    • JakeGint says:

You’d have to toke away to take you seriously, Deputy Dawg.

Serious question — what are you using for capital?

Anyone who’s been on this blog in the last year watched you publicly immolate yourself with FAZ some months back and know you have no dough left.

Did you take up a collection at the Survivalist’s Convention?
