They got their mustaches and chest hairs punched off.
400 m swimming or running?
If we’re talking track, just match them up in heats with the German teams, and you’ll see some records broken.
______
Wake up Jake!
Track isn’t for another week.
The U.S. just displayed Godliness against the Frenchies. It was awesome.
That’s because the French weren’t forced to throw down their rifles and shuck their khakis on “the wrong side of the Loire,” if you know what I mean.
It’s all about incentives.
I don’t watch much “Orympics,” btw. It’s football season. You can keep the political theater.

Only two more and we can have Olympic Rings – watch out for Naty gas tomorrow

Auxillium Pharma mentioned positively in Sizing Up Small Caps – Barron’s (37.86 )
Barron’s reports shares of Auxillium Pharma (AUXL) could head higher due to Testim, a prescription-only testosterone-based gel, and Xiaflex which is aimed at reating a kind of hand disorder (Dupuytren’s contracture) suffered by hundreds of thousands. Right now, surgery is the main treatment for Dupuytren’s, so an effective drug would be a big step forward. Barring any delays in government approval, Xiaflex could launch by late 2009 and become a $200 mln business by 2011, says money manager Patrick Lee of Palo Alto Investors, a $1.5 bln hedge fund. Counting the potential for both Testim and Xiaflex, Lee and PAI partner Joon Yun see Auxilium shares reaching 100 over three years. Lee values the Testim business at $1 bln. That assumes the business is worth about 5x its expected sales three years from now — a conservative valuation for a biotech concern. The Xiaflex business, he suggests, is worth about $3 bln. He figures the business can capture 20% of patients with the hand disorder by 2011, winning $300 mln in sales. To that sum he applies a multiple of 10. According to Lee, some 270,000 people in the U.S. are on record as having sought treatment for Dupuytren’s. Since the average Xiaflex treatment costs $4,500, Lee puts the potential U.S. market at $1.2 bln. The European market could add $1 bln in business.

You can also substitute the “boycott France” title on the Uncle Sam picture with “To Press 1 for English”
That relay was quite possibly the greatest swimming race I’ve ever seen. USA!
Shanghai making fresh lows.
what an ending!
Truly an awesome race overall, with the top two teams beating the old World record by about 4 seconds in a sprint relay.
But that last leg…how does a human go a 46.0 100 meters, even with a relay start?
I give it the Most Amazing Win title, but second most amazing and still the most exciting would be the 4×200 relay at the 84 LA games. Anchor leg for the U.S. was Bruce Hayes – less than 6-feet tall and known as a distance swimmer. For Germany, it was Michael Gross, over 6’7″ and the world record holder in the 200. Hayes started with a lead, but it was basically gone after 50 meters. Gross slowly pulled ahead, but Hayes reeled him back in over the last 30 meters and won by .04 seconds.
Who the hell is Broadpoint Crapital? They downgraded CLNE fm Strong Buy to Buy. Fuckers must not be fully on board for the 14 b/o.
Next resistance btw 15.50 – 16.0
Weren’t they running off at the mouth before the race in the same way I was running off course before I ran her aground? **hic**

Thank goodness the water in Beijing is cleaner than the air.
Chinese admit that 400M relay was computer generated. USA did not really win. Check it out.

*edit
typical quotes from a YHOO message board:
‘did anyone listen to the CC? what’s going on? it must be good news because the stock is up. should i hold?’
-followed by the same person a few posts later-
‘what are you talking about? they announced their earnings. do your homework before posting, idiot.’
“The Fly” throws shit at me, even when I don’t fuck up a trade, just because he’s a dick.
He’ll throw anything at me. Chicken bones. Milkshakes. Stapler removers. Midgets. Whatever is handy.
