Had a harrowing weekend with Hurricane Isaias this weekend as it came up the coast of Florida.
Here is my timeline:
7 PM Checked my water supplies, canned goods, filled up gas in the ICE vehicle and charged my electric car to full battery.
7:30 PM Blood pressure started to rise as my Hurricane Andrew memories kicked in
8:30 PM Hunkered down in a closet as the winds picked up to 10 MPH
8:45 PM The peak winds of 15 MPH appeared with enough rain to rival a sun shower
9:00 PM Shear terror as the winds were howling at 20 MPH gusts.
6:00 AM Went outside and examined the damage. Noticed my mailbox door was open. Also picked up three leaves that wasn’t there before
6:30 AM Looking for the FEMA trucks to roll in. Made a note to call my insurance Company for the mailbox damage.
