As I understand it, it was strictly illegal for protesters to cover their faces in Charlottesville, but the Mayor/Police did not enforce it. If these laws were enforced, much of Antifa would just melt away.
By the way, Donald Trump bought the Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard in Charlottesville, now called Trump Winery. According to Wikipedia:
