Trump Betrayed His Nuclear Fan Club, Leaving the Sector in Ruins

In late 2016, I made one of my riskest trades ever, plowing 100% of my trading account into UEC, sub $1, based upon the notion that President Trump would be friendly to nuclear energy. Wall Street followed my lead (quite literally) and the stock soon traded up to $1.80. I sold shortly after the new year for a very handsome profit.

Alas, the dust has settled and Trump has revealed himself to be a Manchurian candidate, one wholly interested in touching glowing orbs with evil men, cavorting around walls, pretending to be jewish, all the while his staff eagerly tries to BOMB NORTH KOREA into the stone age.

I’ll cut to the point. Trump’s fucked up budget called for a 31% cut for The Office of Nuclear Energy (gasp, how will they recover?)

To that end, stocks belonging to the nuclear energy fan club are very oversold. In fact, they are more oversold now that at any point over the past year.

Some of the notable stocks include CCJ, UEC, DNN and UUUU, all of which are literally garbage. Since this whole trade was predicated on a friendly Trump administration, I propose removing these stocks from your screen and pretend they never existed.

So, we’re gonna set a sector record with a 7th consecutive down year? I’ll take my chances.

Good. We should focus on thorium-based nuclear power anyways.

Yup. Traditional nuclear power is thousands of times more expensive than nat gas …if you figure in the of thousands of years the waste has to be stored and secured …that’s if you can find some place willing to have it in the backyard …so that is is not stored on top of an active nuclear plant a la Fukushima.

So, 50% upside if we want to get as over valued as the dot com bubble?

Or why not higher? Japan got to a Schiller PE of over 90. China got to around 60.

Loved the theme from the get-go. Took 60% out of UEC; 50% out of URG and fled the crime scene and wiped them off the screen. Well done brotha Fly.
