LEADER OF NATO MEMBER NATION, ERDOGAN, SAYS AMERICA SUPPORTS ISIS

There’s a disruption in the Matrix.

Turkey has been in the middle of all the recent Russo-America drama for over a year. When Russia first entered the Syrian war, Turkey shot down a Russian fighter. Then there was a failed coup. Then, all of a sudden, Turkey found courage and entered the Syrian war to support American interests. Then Russia’s ambassador was killed while giving a press conference.

Now this.

While talking to reporters, the Presiden of Turkey, an ally of the United States, member of the all important and cherished NATO, said he had evidence that proved America had supported ISIS and other terror groups in the region.

“They were accusing us of supporting Daesh [Islamic State],” he told a press conference, according to Reuters.

“Now they give support to terrorist groups including Daesh, YPG, PYD. It’s very clear. We have confirmed evidence, with pictures, photos and videos.”

This is something I’ve talked about here for the past year. This revelation isn’t all that shocking, but the source sure is.

Ob and Kerry allowing un to recognize palestine has put in place the final mechanism for civil nuclear conflict in the middle east. I can see cnn blaming trump and demanding impeachment. Fucking sickening.

Israel snub not getting enough coverage. Easily could open what was predicted as full middle east conflict 2nd stage after Syria. Russia would be drawn in. Israel would be drawn in. obama facilitating both. obama trojan horse.

So the president of Turkey is some kind of upstanding democratic individual? Why believe what he says? Oh, that’s right, he’s bashing Obama, and everyone who bashes Obama is believed, and is considered great by Trump supporters. There is nothing more important than bashing Obama.

I see that you folks plan to continue bashing and blaming Obama, for the entire Trump presidency. Uglyflint already has his conspiracy theory that says how Obama can be blamed for what Trump does wrong.

Obama is a lame duck. Once Jan. 21st comes, Obama will have no power, and Trump will have to accept responsibility for whatever direction he leads the country in– if any. Since he contradicts himself so much, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were no consistent direction at all there.

Why would Obama, allow the non veto, of an anti Israel un resolution?

Maybe Obama agreed with some of the things that are in the resolution. These situations are complex. Everything is not black/white– either everything is pro-Israel or anti-Israel. Israel itself contains warlike factions and more peace oriented factions.

Obama Allows Toothless UN Resolution Against Israeli Settlements to Pass

        https://theintercept.com/2016/12/23/obama-allows-toothless-un-resolution-against-israeli-settlements-to-pass/

“In a press call Friday afternoon, White House Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes explained that the White House abstained on the resolution because it “expresses a consensus international view on Israeli settlement activity.”

“We thought that we could not in good conscience veto a resolution that expressed concerns about the very trends that are eroding,” Rhodes explained “a two-state solution.”

Apparently, Obama believes that letting the resolution pass is more likely to lead to peace in the area.

Now maybe Obama is wrong, and maybe he’s right, about that.

But no one likes peace when Obama talks about it, only when Trump talks about it. Because Obama bashing seems to be more important than peace to most folks here– more important than anything, really.

Frog – It is not about whether it is true or not. It is about the fact that he is willing to say it. Your brain… I do not think it functions correctly.

But, for what it’s worth, considering that Erdogan definitely DOES work with ISIS and has bought oil from them for some time now, if anyone had the goods on US support of ISIS it would be him.

I am smart. I just don’t agree with you. Does everyone have to agree with you for you to consider them smart or for you to admit that their brain functions as well as yours does?

As for him being willing to say it, I am sure that he is willing to say any lie, or any truth, which he thinks will preserve his own power or increase it. And we may not have all the information as to what would, or would not, preserve or increase the power of a foreign president, that has all kinds of different and shifting friend, enemy, and frenemy relationships with other nations.

I think once Trump has office he will have plenty of retorts to Obama, if Obama chooses to open himself up for a “counterpunch.” Obama’s failure is real, and will only be easier to explain to people once he is out of office and Trump is in.

It’s as simple as, “Obama says XYZ, but what did he do in 8 years? Nothing. Sad!”

What about Trump actually doing something constructive, once he is president? Is that important? Or do you folks only hate Obama but not actually like Trump, and not expect anything good out of Trump?

          Thanks for clarifying that, Uglyflint.

These issues are complex. Obama apparently thinks he is planting seeds of peace by not vetoing that resolution. I suppose time will tell about that, but no one knows for sure at this time.

Also, the writers of the reading materials on the Deep State, that I put above here in the thread, say that neither Obama nor Trump will have much influence over whether there is war in the Middle East, or over what the U.S. does in the Middle East. They allege that the Deep State tells the president what to do– not vice versa.

Frog, serious question, not bashing. Isn’t the Deep State exactly what Alex Jones is alway talking about ? If you’re not a listener, he is referring to this all the time.

It may be. I never listen but he is probably not wrong about everything.

However, the Right Wing conspiracy theorists like Jones always seem to point fingers at liberals, and very seldom, if ever, at conservatives or Republicans. So they cite the Clintons as part of the supposed elite conspiracy, and Obama– and maybe the Bushes, since they are no longer a factor in politics today. But far richer people like Trump, and other Republican billionaires or Republican crony capitalist corporate people, seem to never be included as villains in this supposed elite conspiracy to rule the world.

Conspiracy theorists do rail about the elite and claim it controls both parties. But when people are singled out for criticism, they seem to always be Democrats, not Republicans.

There is a lot of money supporting Republicans, because they are more the party of the rich and the mega-corporations than the Dems are– as you can see by Trump’s cabinet. So the GOP often does not mind conspiracy theorists– and may even support some of them, financially or otherwise– as long as all of their villains are Democrats.

            Frog,

You should change your name to winged monkey.

Because you are all about the wings. Right wings and such. So Jones is bad because he doesn’t talk bad about the right wingers enough? Whatever the fuck a ” right winger” actually is. I’m thinking Neocons, you know, the ones who cause wars and supported Hilary 120%?

Since when do you even listen to this guy Alex Jones anyway?

You have know idea what you’re saying.

We have had 4 presidents. 2 dems and 2 “right wingers”. He has been against all 4. So how does that fit with what you’re trying to say? As a matter of fact, he hates the 2 “right wingers “the most. Again? Frog? You there buddy?

Take it from someone who has a clue, Jones doesn’t play favorites like some winged monkeys I know.

His dislike of people has zero to do with their wings or political parties. He is very consistent on that.

As you are with not knowing what you’re saying when it comes to topics such as this.

“So Jones is bad because he doesn’t talk bad about the right wingers enough?”

I don’t watch Jones, as I said. I was talking about Right Wing conspiracy theorists in general. Perhaps he is an exception to the rule. As I said, I don’t watch him.

“Take it from someone who has a clue, Jones doesn’t play favorites like some winged monkeys I know.”

As I said, I do not watch him. But you, and Fly, and other Trump supporters here definitely hate Democrats, liberals, Obama, HRC and Soros more than anyone on the planet. In fact you seem to hate liberals 100X more than you like Trump, which I find very interesting. Because Fly’s posts, and the conversation of you and others here, contains a lot more liberal bashing than Trump praise.

So what am I to deduce from that? That you and your apparent “news sources” hate liberals, much more than you like your own elected presidential candidate?

This fact certainly causes me to think that your news sources must be very pro-Republican, or at the very least very anti-Democrat and anti-liberal. Perhaps Alex Jones is an exception to that. I don’t know. But I would be very surprised if he were an exception.

If he is typical, he claims to hate both parties, just like you and Fly do here. But then does he also sound like you and Fly in that when he bashes a particular politician, it is at least 10X as likely to be a liberal as a conservative? Unless the politician is not in office and hasn’t been for a long time. Then GOP bashing is okay, because in that case, it can not hurt the current GOP elections.

That is the typical pattern is for Internet conspiracy theorists. The GOP just loves them and supports them. Because they get people to vote GOP, even though they claim to be nonpartisan– because they bash the Dems so much. Their viewers don’t necessarily like the GOP either. They just vote for GOP Congress members and presidents because their “trusted news sources” bash the Dems so much.

That’s why the GOPf controls all branches of the federal government, most governorships, and most state legislatures. Because the constant Dem bashing on the Internet, gets the GOP swamp elected, every time.

“America supported Syrian rebels but never mainstream ISIS.”

Exactly. Claiming that the U.S. supported ISIS in Syria is just more fake news to make Obama sound bad by lying about him. You can make anyone sound bad if you lie about them. People who do not make it the meaning of life to bash Obama, can clearly see this.

The U.S. supported the rebels for a time and to a degree. And while we did very little to help them, and then we dumped them, the Syrian people were still being slaughtered by the butcher Assad. And almost no would help the rebels defend themselves and their countrymen. Except ISIS. So the rebels accepted help from ISIS, rather than have no help at all to defend themselves, their families and countrymen from slaughter.

I don’t know whether Turkey has been buying petrol from ISIS. Probably has though, from what I read. Actually the articles I read said that they bought petrol from ISIS because it was hard for them to get it from other sources. The articles quoted someone from the Turkish military as saying that they bought oil from ISIS and then went ahead and fought against ISIS, with their military vehicles fueled with the gas they bought from ISIS.

Such is the craziness of the M.E. All kinds of factions are frenemies. They depend on each other for various things, even though they do not want to, just because the other options seem even worse. And they don’t trust each other, because they are not worthy of each other’s trust.

What they do or do not know about the U.S. doesn’t mean much to me. Because I do not trust Erdogan to be truthful. I do not expect Erdogan to tell the truth when he speaks– unless the truth will bring him more power. He is not interested in truth but only power– which doesn’t make him unusual at all in the world of politics, of course.

Turkish scum are never to be trusted. Why is it that all of you Hillbots automatically knee-jerk to suck on Obama’s dick? Weren’t you mad when Bush was running through the middle east like a madman?

The story here ISN’T whether we control and support ISIS, which can be discussed later. Instead, as the fucking title says, the leader of a member of NATO just tossed us under the bus. Something is wrong here.

    Wake the fuck up.

Almost everyone tosses almost everyone under the bus in politics, if it is to their own advantage in some way– particularly in the Middle East. What seems unusual about that?

Of course Erdogan hates the U.S. because we refused to deliver to him some Turkish guy in Pennsylvania who he claims plotted the (apparently fake) coup against him. That has nothing to do with NATO.

It’s a bad thing when a NATO member, who is supposed to be our ally, because they’re in NATO, tosses us under the bus. But I didn’t think the authoritarian leader Erdogan was our ally. And if anyone else thought Erdogan was our ally before, then they should know now that he isn’t.

So now every leader of a NATO member nation is important? But Trump wants to dismantle NATO, because they don’t pay their share for it. So what does NATO matter to you then?

Is this a good reason to you for dismantling NATO? Or do you just like the idea that Erdogan said something bad about the U.S. government while Obama is president? And if he still bashes the U.S. once Trump becomes president, then you won’t like Erdogan any longer? Or what?

I don’t get what the context and meaning of this is to you.

There are reasons why people do things. I am sure you have plenty of excuses for every lie Trump ever tells. So what? Do you have some kind of version of reality where people do not do things for reasons, where everything is black or white, 100% good or 100% evil?

Why call someone a smelly bag of shit because you disagree with them? This would be a weak argument if it were an argument, but it is not. It’s simply an insult. Why do you think that insulting me will convince me that you know the truth and I don’t?

Erdogan is playing his own game of 4d chess, as is Putin. Perhaps they want to put a final nail in the democrats, or perhaps they want to take advantage of the political turmoil and create a more aligned and powerful foe to us while delegitimizing us on a global scale… Time will tell.

Crazy conspiracy theory – powers that be thought erdogan and putin were getting too close and arranged / supported ambassador killing thinking it would add friction to that relationship. Now this is payback.

Did you come to these ideas on your own? Or did you read them in some news source? IT sounds like maybe you read the facts in a news source and then put together your own theory? None of us knows what is going on in the M.E. and Russia, unless someone here has worked as a journalist in the M. E. But I suppose your own guesses about the situation are as likely to be true, as anyone else’s.

I certainly appreciate your not insulting anyone who happens to disagree with you in some way, as seems to be the custom in the U.S. currently. It’s not a very healthy behavior, and I appreciate your opting for civility instead.

This is the Internet here, and this is all silly stuff, of course. But why do you threaten physical violence against someone, even in jest, if you want to have a discussion with them? Most people would just never reply to you again.

Don’t you see how that kind of thing can block a discussion from taking place? And, if Americans can’t have discussions about our country, how will we ever work together to solve our nation’s problems?

The U.S. is divided and conquered and one reason is that most people have been brainwashed to hate liberals. I am not asking people to become liberal, but simply to treat liberals as human beings with different opinions– instead of the Anti-Christ, or someone stupid or weak. Someone can have a different opinion from you, about what would most help our country, and not be evil, stupid or weak.

I know you are angry. Why don’t you go punch a punching bag or run around the block or something and release your anger? It doesn’t help in a reasonable discussion to just be enraged.

Apparently you and Chuck and others here think that everyone must agree with you or else they are evil or stupid or weak. But that is just not the case.

Reasonable people can have reasonable differences of opinion as to what direction would be best for our country to take.

Do people here think that if you yell and scream and insult people like Fox News does, and Alex Jones and Limbaugh and O’Reilly that that makes you correct and others wrong?

If aggressiveness, shouting, anger, insults and hatred always make one right, then Mao and Stalin and Hitler were right. And I think everyone here knows that they were not right.

So what’s the deal with acting as if insulting or threatening other people makes you right? You know in your heart that it does not.

These are complex subjects. We could type all night and not cover them thoroughly. There are a lot of different issues here– NATO, Turkey, ISIS, Russia, all the different factions in Syria and whether and to what degree they are friends, enemies or frenemies. And whether such relationships are stable or (more likely) are constantly shifting and changing.

One reason we should stay out of the M.E. is that how can our soldiers possibly know who is a Syrian rebel, who is ISIS, who is both ISIS and a Syrian rebel and maybe aligned with other groups too. Our soldiers don’t know. Few of them probably know the language or the culture, and even if they do, they probably still don’t know it in depth, or know the history of who is related to whom by family or friendship or political or economic relationships.

Some guy’s family doesn’t get along with another guy’s family. So one guy tells the U.S. soldier “That guy’s in ISIS” even though he’s not. Or says of his own brother “He’s a great guy, a Syrian rebel who loves the U.S. and hates ISIS.” But he’s not.

Yeah, Chuck, you think I am making excuses for people. But have you ever been in the armed forces, in combat? I have young relatives who have been stationed in the M.E. multiple times. Do you think you could magically tell who is who? I am not making excuses. I am just saying, soldiers can’t tell who is who, and no one could who hasn’t lived there for generations. You couldn’t tell either.

That’s why we should stay out. We shouldn’t even fight ISIS over there, because we do not know which people are ISIS and which are not.

Frog… at this point… knowing what this country has done in prior times… it really shouldnt be that hard to believe ISIS has support inside American agencies… probably not from Obama or Hilary or Kerry like people want to believe. Probably not how Erdogan says either. But the lack of attacks here and in Israel raise the question. ISIS seems like the Nazis or the contras in Nicaragua… they’re a gang funded by billionaires to get done what governments move too slowly to do. When it all goes wrong, the government has clean hands and can point at the dirty Arabs.

Here is to “Trump” changing things… haha

If you look at how long it took Osama (CIA trained) to put together Al-Qaeda with the taliban… and then how quickly Baghdadi got ISIS rolling in tanks… we can only ascribe so much of that power to Assad. This is why we invaded Iraq. Saudi Arabia will most likely be astoundingly silent the next few weeks.

As for the settlements… good luck getting religious Jews to leave the land. These settlements were in the desert, in biblical locations, and religious people have taken it upon themselves to build them up, to rebuild them. It has been written in our book. It was also written in the Quran. Palestinians did not exist as a people… they have every other Arab country to live in if they want… or they can get together and stop supporting terrorist groups like Hamas… and come up with a group of leaders that does not have a plan to wipe out Israel as a main point in their politics.

Obama and UN idea of peace in Israel is a few more years. Palestinians, and more or less most Arab Muslims in the middle east… all need to learn to read. I’ve read the Quran, it says clearly the land of Israel was given to the Jews. So does the Christian Bible. The world is enormous if you really don’t like Jews you can walk to Jordan or any of the head chopping countries.

An Arab ruled Palestine will be another Syria inside of a decade. As a liberal I use to buy the 2 state bullshit… but looking into it, and reading the religious texts of all faiths involved… the Palestinians can either get over the fact that their new stepdad speaks Hebrew and realize life is a lot better in a democracy, or keep living like rats… like their people do.
