Tepper once made a small fortune in DAL, if I’m not mistaken. He just reported a small, almost peevish, 480k share position in DAL. Buffett, on the other hand, reported some manly positions in three different airlines: AAL (~21.77 mln shares), DAL (~6.33 mln), UAL (~4.53 mln).
It’s an interesting call, as the airliners have done nothing all year long. Over the past two years, in spite of oil being down by more than 50%, the airlines are only up by a mere 12%.
Based on price to sales valuations, the airline sector is the cheapest it has been since 2011.
Back in January of 2012, after a tumultuous 2011, AAL pressed higher by 66%.
UPDATE: Berkshire is reporting a new position in another airliner, LUV. The sector will be on fire tomorrow.

and interesting in light of Buffett’s old airline joke — : “How do you become a millionaire? Start as a billionaire and buy an airline.”
I consider the airlines and casinos garbage stawks flogged and manipulated by malicious operators. Beware.
The move has been made, you will be buying from them.
The Zionist Organization of America just slammed the ADL over it’s attacks on Steve Bannon. The Jewish community completely gets that the strongest support for Isreal is on the right. The left is busy supporting ISIL.

The reaction to Bannon is all we need to know. They want civil unrest and they will cause it. If people do not see the obvious. Good luck.
When was the last time Uncle Cheeseburger did not buy the top? XOM IBM etc. Rails and Ketchup. For a “longterm” conman the old asshat has been a fail for years as a follow trade.
He also bought more $V, among others. I went long $V today, missed it by that much (Exodus oversold).
