The main tell for me whether or not Obamacare was going to help people was when Healthcare stocks soared after it was approved. How could we save money and large healthcare corporations make more money at the same time?
Impossible. Obamacare was literally written by the healthcare companies and passed by a corrupt congress.
Post Trump victory, healthcare stocks are crashing lower on the specter that the gravy train will soon be ending.
HCA is at the vanguard of the decline.
Who knows what the hell will replace Obamacare. All I know is that healthcare investors aren’t sticking around to find out.

waiting for Hilary’s concession speech looks like a funeral – wtf is with that music?

Looooooool, zoom zoom lower.
I do not understand the TLT sell off.
Inflation expectations moving up = bad for UST’s? Think mkt px’ing in more deficit spending / stimulus (more supply of UST’s, negative), debt fueled growth (negative for rates), and protectionism (labor cost to make TV’s, electronics, other goods, etc. would go up = higher prices = higher inflation). Truth be told, I think it’s going to take some time before any honest observer of the market can really understand the correct path forward and how to be positioned accordingly….
Thank you Logic for your input.
Not sure what your talking about, LABU is up 28% today.
Anyone else relishing the irony of both Hillary and 0bama mentioning the value of the “rule of law” in their speeches today.
Truly hilarious.
Yes noted and “constitutional democracy” close…. but no cigar
For the providers, I can see why the threat of ACA could be harmful to their business.. they’ve been passing the higher costs onto insurers. As for the big time large cap payors/insurers who cover individuals, employees and have government programs as well, I actually think the end of ACA is bullish for them. They were getting killed by higher costs, but a lot of this was a function of the hospitals passing it on. However, I would caution that high pharma prices impact the insurers negatively, so it sort of balances out. But if Trump keeps his word about lowering big pharma’s pricing power, this is a major net positive for insurers. Healthcare is extremely unique and not symmetrical; you’ve got point of service, point of sale, and point of payment occurring at separate ends of the spectrum.
Ocare was specifically created to destroy an entire young up and coming generation of citizens. It was pure evil. May God punish those responsible.
