N. Dakota RNC Committeeman Cory Haugland: The RNC Chooses the Nominee, Not the Voters

This is the most checkered panted dialogue I’ve heard this election cycle, by the GOP. One of their committee members is going to introduce changes to the rules in order to unbind the delegates from the candidates, in order to permit the RNC to cherry pick their preferred candidate over whatever the stupid, uninformed, people selected.

Cory said, “That’s right. Every delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention is a completely free agent, free to vote for the candidate of their choice on every ballot at the convention in Cleveland in July. Every delegate is a Superdelegate!”

The fuck.

Now hear this smug little fucker during a CNBC interview this morning, saying he doesn’t know why we even bother with primaries, chuckling like a school girl the whole way.

The fix is in.

Most free and democratic country in the world .. my ass .. no really my ass.

At least in Russia you know how its going to work every time. Here, its all just a white wash.

Exactly that article I linked to a couple weeks back now coming true – they meet and adjust rules before their convention. At least the crooked fix will become a mainstream story now but it won’t change anything, not like laws can be made to prevent it.

Got to love the Trumpicans. They don’t like vanilla or chocolate so they choose rat poison. The Cleveland Convention should be Pay Per View.

Isn’t that exactly what a brokered convention is? Unbounding the delegates (who are composed of republican voters who have registered as delegates to represent other voters) to choose the candidate they want until one has support of 50% of delegates?

A brokered convention is anything that prevents Trump from being the nominee, precedent be damned. This is going to be the most fun ever.

It’s fun to count the undemocratic statements, like the bootlicking weasel Rubio’s “we’re right but we’re losing” yesterday. Yeah, whatever.

Colorado already did this and nobody seemed to care. I just think it’s funny that they continue to do all the things that make everyone want an outsider.

U R right there. The GOP establishment is unbelievably out of touch with the voters and what they want. I guess they have been living in their own bubble, and it has worked for them for a long time. They dominate both Houses of Congress, most state governorships, and most state legislatures. But now it is getting to be like the guy who jumped from the 50th story of a tall building, and as he passes the 10th story he says “I did the right thing to jump. It’s working so far.”

We need to board the arc to avoid civil unrest that’s coming. Forget the market.

If Trump didn’t like the RNC’s rules, he should’ve run as an independent. He may still, I guess.

Typical 0.1% attitude — the rules are not for him.

the GOP is telling us they would rather swallow a poison pill and hand the presidency to the Democrats than let an outsider in….that’s how fixed Washington DC is and how much of a joke the whole thing is.
