I’m only 14 so will have to wait 4 more years before trying my first menthol. My parents shop at Costco, so no coupon clipping in this household (interesting fact: they automatically clip for you at the register).
As for food stamps: a few weeks back, my card didn’t register on the first swipe at Dean and DeLuca. The woman behind the register asked me whether I was trying to pay with food stamps. I responded with a “you’ve got to be fucking kidding me.” And yes, my mother washed my mouth out with a bar of soap once we returned to the basement of our housing tenement (extra rent controlled)
