The Roaring 2010’s

A great many of you homos are obsessed with having another crisis, another Lehman event that you might stick your beaks into. Plainly speaking, you’re all sick people. I’d throw you off a skycraper if I was able to get away with it, without even batting an eye.

What is the time frame for stupidity?

Meaning: is one considered to be stupid for being wrong after 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 10 years? What is the statute of limitations for calling yourself a “guru”, after being wrong?

I’ve been wrong for about a week, long into a decline. Just last week I was 35% cash, seeing the market drop from vacation. Now I am back in the market, ready to draw some blood, and already I get resistance from the peanut gallery in the comments and on twitter. Other bloggers like to ignore comments because they have very small penis’s. But I will kill you, murdered in a very heinous fashion, done with all of the tact and grace that one might expect from a handsome gentleman murderer of course.

I am wrong for exactly 3 days. I need you to shut up now and acknowledge how wrong you’ve been since the atrocities of 2008. Furthermore, I need you to acknowledge that gold has grossly underperformed the SPY for the past 2 years, also a reason to be silenced.

At the end of the day, Le Fly is up nearly 40% and wins, all the time, even when he is losing. Say what you want about “market professionals” and “smart money.” It means nothing to me, because none of them are better than me.

These are the best of times, the roaring 2010’s. We will remember this era for the rest of our lives. You are bearish, like a stupid farm animal, in 1923. You’re supposed to be long in 1923 and sell in ’28-29–stupid jackass.

If there is a cliff at the end of this run, whenever it might be- Do you think it will be ‘the cliff’; end of American dominance, or just another manufactured buying opportunity?

Amen. Reject this dollar and economy, stare our guns down the barrel.

Not sustainable though. The bluff will be called eventually. HAHAHAHA how soon though????!!

He’ll give us what we need. It may not be what we want.

Great post. I think we’re closer to 1925, but generally agree. Ignore the haters… love the transparency and thanks as always for the commentary.

Call Me Stupid, But the one rule in this game is that Bubbles always pop..and since April of 2009 when China Govt was out there buying up tons and tons of Copper they didn’t need, we had a bubble forming. Now 2013 it is one historically super ugly ugly bubble that I would have sworn would have popped years earlier…Clams created this mess, I don’t see any Clam Juice left. We will see.

Ms. Nymph, you have been calling for popping bubbles for a couple years now and always come out in full force after a slight decline. What makes this time any different?

BoJ, BoE, ECB, RBA, China, FOMC all look like they are out of the adding of Stimulus Game finally.

Bubbles do pop, but not on a continuous basis.

But what makes it finally pop? Dr. Copper topped in 2011 on the LME. PMI’s etc don’t justify this level for global equites (well maybe Shanghai and India’s equity markets). Take out the stimulus effect that hit the markets in 2009 and you have nothing. Best example of all of this came from a guy I was talking to at Home Depot. In 2007 he was a contractor and owned a home, he walked away from his home when it was worth less then what he paid. He lost his job. Now, he Works at Home Depot and rents a home that is smaller for more then he paid in Mortgage. That rental is owned by a company that bought tons of them in Calif..not healthy at all.

    MOOOOOO!

    Fly,

I see no fear in your longness which scares me because I see many threats to the tape.

Usually you pair back and wait during these times.

Until I hear from the Fed on tapering I will sit back.

Best of luck to you sir.

I have watched the fly for many years. MANY years. He is seasoned in the way of the markets. Blahggers come and go, viewership goes up and down, the crowd migrates from bear blog to bull blog… but Mr. Fly has been consistent over the years, surfing these markets like some professional Maui instructor.

I have lived in NYC for 4 years now… And still the smartest and most poignant market commentary has come from from a guy who incorporates in MN. LOL. Gotta have a sense of humor to it all or you’re dead.

Dr. Fly, I think you will make money in the markets no matter what. However, I think this market has at least 10% more on the correction side.

There will be no “2008 – The Sequel” for the foreseeable future. Bernanke and the Fed still control the gas pedal and the brakes, and have said as much. Unemployment INCREASED yesterday, memo to file.
We may experience small contractions in the future, nothing like 2008 as long as, like the Fly says, US has military might and our Federal Reserve have teeth. Now if the Tea Party extracts the Fed’s teeth and give them false teeth, there will be nothing to backstop the economy, that simple.

Correct. Focus more on your war chests and less on the bogey man of 2008. I heard the markets were down yesterday. I did not notice or care. Quality will rise in any market.

I was expecting more of a correction but who cares. Regarding clams of the world: they are not out of juice until they can’t control the fall of their currencies and the increase in yield of their debt instruments, or income cannot keep up w interest payments. Sadly that will probably happen some day but until then i would remain skeptical but bullish

This is the new American economy. New American Technology will lead the way, and old dinosaurs of the market will become tomorrow’s petroleum. DDD, SSYS, ONVO – The new HPQ and XRX.
    AMZN is the new WMT.
Social media giants like FB LNKD and YELP, they will be the new T.
